The Youtube app has been working fine until Friday 27th November.  Switched on as I do every day to see news, and have video but no sound. Did the usual switch off, unplug etc but still no sound Other apps work fine.

I noticed there was an update to this app dated 22/11/2020 but my issue only started later. Have automatic updates "on".  Is this a buggy update?

@Michelle van Asperen Please post your LG TV type, and WebOS and firmware level. It might be that the YouTube app update is not compatible with all LG models and WebOS versions, and LG might need to tweak it for your TV.

Have you reported this to your LG support site in your country (this is only a peer-to-peer enthusiasts forum, and is NOT owned or run by LG)?

Hi, thank you for taking the time to reply.   I am in South Africa. My TV is one year old model 49UM7340PVA  Web OS 4.7.1 and besides Geo locked so I cant use a VPN, the Youtube app has been my view of the world. Broadcast TV is is useless and pay- for- satellite TV is  expensive running  dated programs repeated ad nauseum.

I know it is a Users forum and LG take no notice of it. However, there are smart people out there who offer good advice. LG in SA are not any help or they cover up the issues to protect themselves. Had previous experience of this. The components are imported and assembled here  and then say " made in SA". Indeed the operating software is for a geographical area which means  I cant input a code from my VPN to bypass this restriction.

As we only see LG issues, I wonder if people using other makes with Android OS have as many issues?

PS everything is fine if i upload 4k25p or 4k30p
PSS it's a problem only on webOS - on PC or android everything is OK.

I recently bought a 50NANO90A6B TV and so far I have to say it's a fantastic upgrade from my old Sony 40".
However, I've one small niggle problem (only had the TV since Sunday)... The YouTube app doesn't seem to want to work! it shows the logo with a spinny circle, then the logo starts again with the spinny circle... this just repeats over and over.
All other apps (iPlayer, Jellyfin, Plex, ITV, CH4 etc...) work as does the LGTV app, so the WiFi connection is fine!
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the YouTube app a few times, but it does the same each time!
Anyone know how I can sort this? any other suggestions for fixing it!
I'm currently using my Chromecast with GoogleTV for YouTube at the moment.
I'm in the UK by the way! And the TV is set to that, in all the relevant settings locations.

The sound and picture are out of sync when screen mirroring from my iPhone 16 Pro to my LGQNED70A6A TV, using the internal speaker. I have tried all the recommended tips in the settings to cure the issue with no success. However, when I isolate the TV from the mains supply for 60 seconds and restart it, the syncing issue is cured but degrades after a day or so. My iPhone software is up to date and there is no firmware upgrade available for the TV. My LinkSys router has a full fibre connection. The only connection into the TV is the mains supply. Any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

      Hi,
I believe it started to happen after last update - version 03.53.45, maybe the one before. After I quit YouTube app, TV will not get signal from HDMI settopbox no matter I try. Only solution is to unplug and plug back HDMI cable which is really annoying. Is it known issue? Is there any fix? I tried few workarounds, like disabling smart features and so on, but no luck.
      TV model: OLED55B13LA
      Example:
Settopbox is powered on, TV is showing signal over HDMI, everything is fine. Then I open YouTube, after some time exit, switch back to HDMI input of settopbox and TV says no signal. I re-plug cable and then it works fine.
