Youtube update, app stopped working

LG55UG870 3D 4K TV, webos 2, tv software version 04.05.85, YouTube update on 16 March 2020 to app version 1.0.70 made it unusable as it just load black screen. 

What is going on?

Silent update. At least here. Same 1.0.70 started working again.

Something probably serverside.

@manyakrifat I blame the update as youtube kids app still works fine. No solution, reinstalling doesnt help, cast from android phone to tv works only as a sound with no picture, even then this only works sometimes. Whats your webos version?

@VEzVE WebOs version is 1.4.0 with 32LB652V TV. It seems my WebOs version is outdated, but it is the latest one for my TV. I sent emails to YouTube and LG Support, but no responses yet.

Same issue here. LG 55UF8500. Latest firmware installed.

That was an expensive TV and I really only use YouTube on it. I don’t have a TV anymore.

I just have the same issue with the same update YouTube 1.0.70....need a quick solution

the same problem here, black screen. 

TV Model: 43LF6350-SB

LG WebOS: 2.2.3-169 (beehive-biscayne)

YouTube version: 1.0.70.

Please fix it urgently, many people are quarantined and use the TV for entertainment while they cannot leave the houses 😷😥😭

Factory reset and youtube reinstall fixed the problem.

No, it fixes the problem only temporary, until next turn off/on of TV. Then youtube app will stop working again.

If we can stop the forced upgrade, it would be a temporary fix.

I accidentally fixed it.

Maybe you can try

Factory reset, Don't connect to internet,  you'll see Youtube app.

Restart TV, Youtube app disappeared. Connect to internet, Go to LG store and install Youtube app(latest one 16/03/20).

It's work
