65UB9500 connect to BlueTooth Headphones

Go to settings/sound/sound out/devices.

It should search for Bluetooth devices and once it's recognised I think you click on pair.  I have a different tv but it's a 2018 model so may be very similar?

I think my tv is much older.

When I go to the LG Connections screen there is no Bluetooth selection.  The closest I find is "LG Sound Sync (wireless)" to be used with a sound bar.

I have tried every input selection and have "searched device" multiple times - all to no avail.

My JBL BT headphones connect seamlessly to my phone and my Windows 10 PC... I bought the headphones specifically to use with the tv.

Very frustrating!

We appreciate your interest in this television. To check compatibility with Bluetooth Headsets, review the SOUND menu for the SOUND OUT option. If your model has the LG SOUND SYNC option available, then certain LG Bluetooth Headsets should be compatible. These models are as follows: LG BTS1, LG HBS-700, LG HBS-730 and LG HBS-800. We cannot guarantee the compatibility of any other Bluetooth Headsets.

OLED 65B8PUA  -- The specs show Bluetooth.  I am not happy that Bluetooth is not available if you want to use internal TV speakers at the same time!  I can use headphones (hearing impaired) but no TV speakers for others to watch TV with me.  😞

I have a LG 65QNED92AUA tv that has issues with the Bluetooth connection dropping off when connected to my earbuds. I believe the issue to be software related. LG has sent 2 technicians out to repair and the first technician changed the main board and Bluetooth transmitter which did not resolve the issue.
There are similar issues with Bluetooth Connection from others.
Since hardware replacement didn’t help and this is a known software-pattern issue, I would like push LG to specifically address it at the firmware/webOS level. I am unable to escalate to their software team and check if there’s a known patch or beta firmware for the QNED92 line.
For some reason this line of questioning is not available with in LG customer service.
       Please help!

      Hi,
I have a OLED77C34LA and a pair Bose QC32 II headphones and I have trouble connecting to the tv.
First the headphones works good on my other three devices but the TV has trouble, when I manage to connect they work perfect but when I turn the off on on again the headphones will say they are connected to the TV but the TV most of the time won't give me an option to connect and I remember I got a popup asking if I wanted the use the headphones as output but only for like 3-4 times so far.
Usually I have to plug the power out of the TV for a while and remove the bluetooth device but and it doesn't always work. It's not great spending like 15min to get the headphones to work.
Any ideas what could be wrong?

Hi, I have a feature request for the sound out setting. I often connect my Bluetooth headphones to the TV. We don't use the internal speaker of the TV, we use the optical sound out setting whenever I don't use Bluetooth. It would make our lives a lot easier if the TV can remember the last sound out setting before connecting to Bluetooth and default back to this setting when the Bluetooth device gets disconnected. At the moment, each time I disconnect the headphones I have to go back into settings and change the sound out setting from internal speaker to optical again.
      Thanks and regards
      Hubert

We're considering a new 77" LG OLED, and we cannot find an answer to this anywhere. Is it possible to use both an external soundbar (connected either with Optical or eARC) AND Bluetooth hearing aids at the same time, or is it limited to the TV's internal speakers and Bluetooth?

Why do I get this error message below on the TV, do I need to get a MAC address secured from EE, or is this a misleading error?
I have tried all the usual reboot, recycle, plug and unplug on both the LG TV and EE Smart Hub but nothing changes. Also tried Wired connection via Ethernet (LG TV acknowledges there is an Ethernet connection but still no internet):
TV: LG OLED48A26LA (2022) OLED HDR 4K Ultra HD Smart TV
      Router: EE Smart Hub Plus

SOLVED: Parental control locks were on, with set schedule for wifi pause!
