Can I update my webOS to the 3.0 on my 55UF6450

Question

Posted

I have a 55UF6450 model smart tv. I want to know if there is some way to update the webOS to the latest that LG has available. I currently have webOS 2.0, and I just want to update it to have all the new features of 3.0.

I saw there was a way to put a file on a usb drive and update that way but I wanted to see if that was true before I tried it.

You would have to check out the support page for your TV, take a look here:

There is a software update dated 06/14/2019 which is software version 03.15.86 (which is different to the webOS version), whether it updates to webOS 3 is unlikely.  But, if is a newer software version than you are currently running it is work checking out.  You will need to confirm that you have the correct region and matching model number before you proceed.

Immediately following the major LG webOS firmware upgrade last week, our OLED65G2PSA is damaged. A white line appears top to bottom of screen in from the left hand side & the tv either fails to turn on, or shuts itself down shortly after. Has anyone else had this issue & if so, has any update on a solution. (I'm waiting for LG to get it sorted. Waiting ...)

We have two LG TV's that stopped connecting to our PLEX media server after the last update. TImes out saying "Checking connection speed to Raspberrypi" which the PLEX is on
Upgraded the Mesh Routers before trying anything, still only the PLEX app doesn't work
Our other TCL TV and Roku and TIVO still work with Plex, so this is only the LG TV's that can't connect anymore.
Another annoying error after the last update is that any Streaming app (Amazon, Netflix, and DIsney) now fall out of the app and go back to HDMI port 1 if we pause for 30 seconds.  Which we have always done for a Bathroom break or getting drinks.

In fact, Spotify doesn't offer its service to LG webOS Smartwatch now. If you want to listen to Spotify songs on LG webOS Smartwatch, you'd need a
