Please consider adding a new menu for 2017 OLED's in HDR Game mode preset called "Static Tone Mapping" to picture options with a selection of 4000 nits (default) or 1000 nits.
The reason so many complain about dim HDR on 2017 OLED's is down to an overly tone mapped image, game consoles HDR titles are mastered in 1000 nits range, LG's default tone mapping is set to 4000 nits and because the consoles do not send any HDR metadata, LG tone maps 1000 nits content to 4000 nits. We know this is the cause as advanced tools like HD Fury Vertex can trick the TV into thinking it's 1000 nits content and give correct looking HDR (very complex thing to setup far beyond normal users).
This is entirely fixable by giving us a menu under game mode to force the TV to tone map to 1000 nits instead. If you read around online I'm almost certain this is what the special "Active HDR dynamic contrast = low" under Cinema mode does but this setting is not the same under any other preset. Maybe the "Active HDR" trick is not possible under game mode but forcing the TV to 1000 nits tone mapping is because the HD Fury Vertex can do it so the TV has the capability.
The 2018 models do not have this issue as they have "Dynamic Tone Mapping" under picture options so please throw us 2017 owners a bone on this, thanks.
(Yes game consoles could possible fix this by sending metadata but that's unlikely).

I have two LG OLEDs. I have given each a name in the WebOS. Occasionally when a TV is powered on, I am first requested to enter the TV name along with the dialog to enter text with the on screen keyboard. I can enter anything and it is accepted and I get past that screen and then normal operation follows. This happens on both TVs albeit only occasionally. It is a real nuisance when this happens and I see no need for this.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so, is there a solution to disable this behavior? Is there some setting that I have missed?
The latest FW 05.80.55 has completely messed up my tv and I have rolled back to 05.80.15 successfully. However I would like to have my TV on FW 05.80.35 since I was very happy with that one.
Anyone who has a copy of that one, 05.80.35?

I am not sure if this question is for here, but i tried reading some posts on the internet and could not find a reasonable explanation or solution to my problem, so here it is.
I bought my TV (official model i think is OLED55CX3LA) about 2 weeks ago along with LG Soundbar SN4, connected via optical cabel.
In few words, the setup is as follows:
- Picture mode - Expert (Dark Room) with Gamma set to 2.2 and TruMotion to Natural
- Sound is set to Cinema mode and Optical+Internal TV Speaker
No AI features are turned on and TV is connected to internet via ethernet cable. I have set-up box connected to the TV, a laptop, both with HDMI, and streaming with Serviio over dlna.
Now the issue. On 3rd-4th day the TV started crashing only while watching from the set-up box. The picture will freeze, some times a high pitch noise appears, the TV is unresponsive. This goes on for 10-20 seconds, the TV turns off by itself and after 5 seconds it is turned on. Sometimes it does it once and not again, sometimes there is a day without doing it, sometimes does it constantly one after another unless i change the channel, or change from set-up box to DLNA for example.
I changed HDMI ports, i changed HDMI cables - no effect. I thought it is something in the signal from the set-up box (sometimes it is very low quality, or whatever else), but yesterday same thing happened while watching 2160p movie from DLNA.

I don’t use screen share. Suddenly SCREEN SHARE is showing up highlighted when I am trying to select the HDMI that I need to be using. However, since SCREEN SHARE is already highlighted and will not go away, it keeps everything else with exception from antenna tv from working. I have gone into the SCREEN SHARE APP and was able to deactivate the sound. Could not figure out away to cancel completely. Please help!

hi, i have a uk6300 webos tv. i baught it becase it said google assistant is available.but what i tried to add voice commands i found that aoogle assistnt, alexa and home dashboard is mising and cant find in the LG store..and it has limited amount of service countries to select. i am in sri lanka and google assistant works in my phone.plas help me to install google assistant and home dashboard on my TV.
I bought LG webOS UM7100PLB and whenever I try to watch movies from my laptop (Macbook Pro Retina) on my tv the movies stutter and jam. It is still watchable but extremely annoying so I just plug HDMI cable to watch it. The problem is not also with movies when I scroll or do anything on my laptop, on my LG is slow and stutters as well.
Anybody knows what the problem would be? I attached a screenshot.

I am having an issue with two of your tv's at my home with Apple HomeKit. I have a 55 inch and 65 inch OLED C9 TV. They are both compatible with HomeKit. Originally when I installed the TV's I had all sorts of issues with Apple HomeKit. For the Last 2 months Apple HomeKit has been working perfect with them. Now after a recent update to them via automatic updates, Apple HomeKit now has an issue viewing the tv on the HomeKit app remotely while the TV is OFF, It shows "No Response" in HomeKit. My TV's are hardwired via Ethernet cable. There are 4 states in HomeKit that are recognized for the TV: - Viewing the tv on the HomeKit app locally on the network while the TV is ON (This works in HomeKit and shows the tv as turned on) - Viewing the tv on the HomeKit app locally on the network while the TV is OFF (This works in HomeKit and shows the tv as turned off) - Viewing the tv on the HomeKit app remotely while the TV is ON (This works in HomeKit and shows the tv as turned on) - Viewing the tv on the HomeKit app remotely while the TV is OFF (This DOES NOT work in HomeKit and the TV shows in HomeKit as "No Response")
I've tried reseting the TV's and doing all sorts of things. Nothing has worked. I believe there is an issue with the latest firmware.
