Question: Annoying pop-up messages on my lg 49sj800v smart tv
I have owned this tv for a year and pleased with it ... until about a month ago. I now have constant repetitive messages in top right hand corner of screen saying 'Unknown device disconnected' or 'wired network is connected' or wired lan cable is connected' and it's driving me crazy. I have tried the lg live chat technical support and they were not aware of the issue but I've seen the same problem discussed on US forums and here too. Nobody seems to be able to have a solution. I have unplugged all external stuff - Virgin V6 box, Wii, wired internet, etc and it still happens. Help!! -
Question: Can't find Zee5, AltBalaji and Hotstar app in LG content store
I have LG 43LF6300 WebOS TV, purchased it in Oct '15. I was trying to look for Zee5, AltBalaji and Hotstar in the LG content store and couldn't find anyone of them. I could read that many of the users here already have the app, can anyone guide me where to look for it? I have some 100 odd apps in content store but not the ones 'm looking for. Please suggest -

Question: Why hardly any smart TV apps for American cable networks?
I see a constant flood of new apps, and since the addition of Starz, and Showtime, there has been nothing added. Samsung has almost all of the American cable network apps, and LG has almost none. What gives? -
LG smart TVs running webOS 3.5 or lower can now be rooted
Posted by XDA developers... When we feature a new root method it’s typically for a smartphone. If it’s not a smartphone then it could be a tablet, smartwatch, or an Android TV set-top box. However, more and more devices are starting to become “smart,” which essentially means they have some sort of extra software feature that previously wasn’t possible. This could be a light bulb that can be controlled by our smartphone or a TV that has applications you can install. https://forum.xda-developers.com/web-os
