I keep getting the message “This app will now close restart to free up more memory”

i have tried deleting some apps on it, I also deleted some of my saved programs on my external hard drive! I tried turning it on and off after each of these processes any ideas it’s driving me crazy am unwell just want to snuggle in front tv and watch favourite programs on my favourite apps!

please, please help!

I'm getting similar message on my 55" telly. The browser keeps crashing when watching video

 

Come on LG patch this problem please as it makes the smart telly seriously dumb!

I keep getting the same error when trying to stream shows on the web. I’ve done an initial reset, cleared my browsing history, closed all open apps. Still will not work. So frustrating!

Just got off the phone to lg support. I was told the web browser shuts down when attempting to stream video ON PURPOSE! Furthermore, once you stream anything from the internet, the cache fills up, does not clear, and prevents the installed apps from functioning properly.  I was told that the OS is a web browser NOT a web streaming service and if they allow customers access to stream video they will be in breach of their contractual agreement to the companies who have apps on the TV. This clearly doesn't happen on tablets or phones, so their logic for creating a sub par product is utter bollocks. I specifically asked the salesman if I could stream video from the internet and was told absolutely yes. When I pointed this out to Lg customer service they re-iterated that a web browser does not confer the ability to stream video. This is misleading the customer, and effectively censoring and filtering internet content.  This must stop!

      My TV is about 5 years old (Software version 04/63.25) and for the first couple of years it was connected via a Fetch Set-top box.   After disconnection the Fetch box was returned to the supplier and the TV connected in the normal manner.
      Ever since, whenever I activate the pointer, which is not very often now, there is a message on the screen "You can control your Set-top box with Magic Remote.   Would you like to continue?"   I have tried every possible way, short of a complete factory reset, to obviate this but without success.   Can anyone suggest a fix?   Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

      The close captioning is lagging in most of our network channels. PBS is the only channel that close captioning works consistently on.

      Already tried turning the TV off and on and unplugging for 10 minutes.
      There is no APPS tile in the horizontal tile row, so I can't load a third-party app like MLB.TV.
      No luck with the WebOs tile, or the LG Content Store.
      When I try the LG Content Store, and click on Apps inside that, I am only offered pre-loaded apps - 600 or so, but no MLB.TV.
      Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
