hansgruber Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Keep getting this message on the top right hand corner of the TV screen "Your Magic Remote Signal Is Unstable" There is a ton of lag, almost to the point where the remote becomes unusable, then it snaps out of it and works fine for 2-5 seconds then the lag comes back. Other support forums suggested to hold down the back arrow and the home button simultaneously until the power button on the remote blinks. I've done this, and it re-registers the magic remote, but it does not fix the lag. I have also reset the TV back to initial settings, but still the lag persists. Anything else I can try? Quote

Blackeyed Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Check batteries in Magic Remote. I switch to rechargeable batteries for that reason. Quote
Jay Chidiac Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Hello , i have the same issue with my 55UH850V , the remotes lags like crazy when i open up netflix or youtube, and then the pop up msg on the top right side "your magic remote is unstable" ,,, i have just writen on lg forum on cnet ill copy it here for you, if you have any update please let me know. "Hello, I have bought the latest LG 55UH850V super UHD 4K and HDR tv, all was working perfect until i started using Netflix and youtube, the remote started lagging, barely responding as if the receiver was barely getting the commands or like i was 30 meters away, so i cleared all items infront the tv (didn't work), then unpaired the remote and paired again (several times, didnt work), shut down the tv 30 seconds + removed the batteries and changed them (typical call center advises,,, didnt work) , updated firmware for tv + netflix + youtube (didnt work) and so i called LG techs in to have a look and they brought in another remote with the admin remote, nothing worked and then they took photos of the notification "your magic remote is unstable" that keeps popping on the screen because they never faced this before and they sent this to their main office for advise, they asked me to take the tv in for observation, then later they realized that the seller i bought it from doesnt cover the warranty with LG and so i have to pay for all : visit 40 usd and what they think the issue "wifi module" 190 usd which i didnt order yet... then I contacted my seller and he refused to pickup the tv for repair without a box which I discarded when i got the tv (bad move) ... So anyone has any idea what's happening and how to fix, since i am cornered here... Please do advise Thanks" Quote
texastone Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 I also have the same issue. Just started. So WTF LG????!!!!!! Quote
Noel Walker Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 I Had this problem also and found buy making sure the TV was properly turned off each time I shut it down, then the TV and Remote always connect properly. Go to Settings / General / Quick start+ (to OFF) This will make sure the TV turns properly off and not just goes to sleep. This fixed the remote control issue for me.... 1 Quote

LBNoobDood Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 I replaced the batteries with brand new, right from the package. Then I registered the remote by holding the back and home button. Lastly, I went to settings, connection, mobile tv, and made sure both settings were disabled. Fixed the issue instantly and permanently. Quote
