40UF770V-ZB external HDD problem or user problem?

Hello everybody,

 

I hope somebody has already crossed the same problem and can get me out of this.

When I connect a 1TB HDD on any of my 3 USB slots, it will create a LG Smart TV file on it. So far so good.

When I try to record, it only shows 196MB available and therefore refuses the recording due to unsufficient space, as at least 40GB are required.

 

Any idea what I am doing wrong, or what I could try? My HDD is a 1TB Toshiba USB 3.0 disk.

      I have recently purchased an LG 43UH610T television.  I am located in Bali, Indonesia.  Everything seems to be working fine, but when I click on any of the options, such as LGTV, YouTube etc, it tells me I must first consent to the LG Smart TV user agreement.  However, I then get a message saying "Unable to load user agreements - a server error has occurred ......"

      Hi, I have the option to right click and pick the subtitles on my Mac when watching movies in the VLC Player, but I can’t do this on the LG OLED, though. I already renamed the subtitle file to be the exact same as the video file and I did have the SRT file in the same folder where the movie is. However, when I connect the hard drive to the TV, the subtitle still doesn't appear. The format of my hardrive is NTFS. Can anyone please offer some advice?

      Hello,

      I just bought a brand new LG Oled G3 2 weeks ago. For some reason, I had to reset to factory settings today and now I can't load User agreements. I tried with cable, wifi and 4G hotspot and it still can't load...
      I tried the DNS setting as well... Nothing works. Basically, I can't use netflix, prime, youtube, and can't download any apps on the TV... This is frustrating. Shoud I return it ?
