LG documentation for 'IP Control' commands? I need to automate control of several LG TVs in our building, they are Ethernet connected, wired. I am able to do the 'ping' of the TVs, i.e. http://<ip address>:3000, and get back 'Hello World' response. But I can't seem to find any documentation on how to use http or even https for the LG TVs. We control various other TVs via curl commands sending http (puts). Notice that LG TV only seem to support as of Jan 2023, https per Google search. But can't seem to confirm that. Cannot use the phone app... we have to limit the interface and control access to specific commands, like on/off only, and now allow change of inputs, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
New user on here.
I bought this new TV last week and it is honestly driving me bananas.
When I click "Home" after using an App, etc, it brings me to the WebOS interface but then automatically selects the last used device (e.g. Fire stick, LG Channels, etc) despite me not wanting it to.
Is it possible to disable this, i.e. "Home" brings me to WebOS and stays there? I'm sure its a setting etc which I'm missing.
Device is LG UQ91 43 inch 4K Smart UHD TV, pretty sure its all up to date.
Thanks in advance.

I have problems with one of my WebOS TVs which looks like a speed problem, but when I do a speed check on my iPhone from just a few feet away the connection speed looks fine. Thanks, Bob

The Wi-Fi module in my LG TV, roughly 5 or six years old, (WebOS UJ6300) is apparently broken. I am looking for a solution cheaper and maybe more interesting than having the TV repaired. There are devices which will pick up Wi-Fi, convert it to ethernet, and deliver it to the male part of an ethernet port. In the past I have used such a device to provide Wi-Fi support to a desktop computer which did not have Wi-Fi support but did have an ethernet port. I forget the particulars, but it did work just fine. But a smart TV with Web 0S is not a desktop or laptop computer. My concern is how to provide the SSID and password to the device. My vague recollection is that such a device in a laptop or desktop computer can trigger a dialogue which requests the SSID and password. But will web OS provide such a dialogue? If I recall correctly, wired ethernet connections do not require SSIDs or passwords.
Thanks, Bob

Question

Hi there,
I've got cable-TV decoded throw an inserted smartcard (CI+ Module). The card comes with a parental control pin activated, and I'm forced to insert it way too many times. In the card's documentation says that the TVs should have a many to remove the lock, however I can not find it in mine. This is NOT the webOS's built-in security PIN, that one is completely deactivated, and the input even looks different. Does anyone have any clue?
Model : 55LB630V
webOS: 04.32.20
Thanks.
