LG-VS-GM-Supplier-of-the-Year-Award_01.p

SEOUL, April 14, 2025 —LG Electronics (LG), a mobility sector technology leader, has been honored at General Motors’ (GM) 33rd annual Supplier of the Year event in Arizona, USA, earning the coveted title of “Creativity Team Award” for redefining in-vehicle entertainment and connectivity.

“This latest recognition from GM serves as a testament to our commitment to developing and reliably supplying innovative automotive solutions,” said Eun Seok-hyun, president of the LG Vehicle Solution Company. “We look forward to strengthening our partnership as we continue to push the boundaries of automotive technology.”

GM’s Supplier of the Year awards recognizes global suppliers for their execution across key categories like safety, innovation and resilience. A global cross-functional team makes award selections based not only on an organization’s performance across 2024, but also their alignment to GM’s core values and ambitious goals.

“For more than 30 years, General Motors has recognized the company’s top global suppliers at our annual event, spotlighting their innovation and resiliency through even the most challenging circumstances,” said Jeff Morrison, global chief procurement officer at GM. “Together, we’re helping bring advanced technology and the industry’s broadest portfolio of vehicles to market for GM customers.”

LG has been a trusted partner to GM since 2006. The company was first recognized at GM’s Supplier of the Year Award in 2014 and has now been honored by GM on seven separate occasions. This achievement highlights LG’s ability to consistently develop and deliver cutting-edge solutions. In 2016, 2022 and 2023, LG received GM’s Overdrive Award, an accolade reserved for suppliers that have made exceptional contributions within the framework of GM’s Global Purchasing & Supply Chain operations. Additionally, in 2017 and 2020, LG earned the Innovation Award for its successful efforts to enhance vehicle performance and the customer experience.

In addition to the Supplier of the Year Award, LG earned recognition for its outstanding achievements in customer care & aftersales parts supply, securing the On-Time Shipping (OTS) Award for three consecutive years starting in 2023. From 2022 to 2024, LG consistently maintained an impressive OTS rate of 99 percent for parts supplied to GM North America, earning the esteemed Gold Award. Furthermore, in April 2024, LG achieved a flawless OTS rate of 100 percent for service parts delivered to GM Korea and GM Brazil throughout 2023, earning the coveted Platinum Award, GM’s highest accolade for supplier performance.

This year, 92 suppliers across 12 countries made GM’s 2024 Supplier of the Year list. For more information, visit

Hi all, hoping for some expert help.
      TV: LG 65QNED86T6A.ADKFLJD (Russia-market unit, now in Iran), S/W 33.31.68.01 (webOS25), 2024 build.
Location settings only show CIS/Russian-speaking countries.
Using an original Factory SVC Remocon (WK-17226), both IN START and ADJ (code 0413) lead to the same SVC menu.
Current Area Option values: Area Code 3638 / Continent Index 54 / Language&Country CS / HW Settings EU.
I've tried entering various Area Option codes (adjacent blocks 3712/3840/3968, and legacy ME/CIS codes from older webOS threads) — all rejected with an error. Continent Index / Language&Country / HW Settings appear to be read-only/derived fields, not directly editable.
Has anyone successfully changed the Area Option on a 2024-model webOS25 QNED TV? Any known working codes or is this generation's SVC menu fully locked without RTOOL/GSDF access?

      Hi LG team,

We are facing playback issues on LG 2024 and 2025 tv models when we try to play AAC audio content. The content starts playing but after a few seconds it pauses. We have tried with WebOS native player as well as Shaka Player and the behavior is same. We can play the aac audio content on tv models older than 2024.
      Tv model used:
      LG -2025
      Model no - 43UA83006LA/2025
      Type- ultra HD/4kTv
      LG webOS- (10.3.1)

Hello, I have searched everywhere but it seems I am the only one facing this strange problem .... when I need to use whatsoever function like simply lower the volume or changing a channel the control works but the appairing webos, instead of showing the volume bar or the channell list, makes strange coloured patterns or flickering for few seconds, then it disappear and the tv goes on working with no issues; you  may imagine that, apart using intuitive controls like volume or zapping channesl, it is impossible to get more settings because the list won't be visible on the screen .... any ideas ?

I was really looking forward to my new LG 65QNED86A6A, but my excitement quickly turned into frustration due to the lack of options for setting an app to autostart. Do I seriously have to log in just to update my TV app (Magenta)? Really, LG?
In 2025, I still can't set up IPTV from common providers during the initial setup, and instead, I'm only offered LIVE TV, cable TV, and antenna? The LG HUB does include LG's own app, LG Channels, but there is no way to pin an app of my choice or enable autostart for a preferred app...
I was so naïve to think, "What could possibly go wrong? It's LG WebOS," especially since I was satisfied with my old device (65-8509UH) and the remote (AN-MR600). Now, my impression is that things have only regressed, and that's with an operating system as good as WebOS.
I don't want to rule out the possibility that this is due to my own lack of knowledge. If anyone can explain how to achieve what I'm looking for, I would be very grateful. I've already tried everything imaginable in the menu. Of course, the workaround via recent inputs and an external device like Apple TV works. And here comes the next step backwards: the new Magic Remote (MR25GA). Compared to my old one, the haptics and responsiveness are noticeably worse—the remote feels uncomfortable in the hand due to its angular shape, and the button feedback is, in my opinion, much less satisfying than with the old remote. If anyone knows a trick to make the old remote fully compatible, I would appreciate the information.
One final note: This is an AI-generated text, as my English skills are not very strong.
      Best regards
