This tip is only for devices running webOS 2.x or higher

Email Sync timesInstead of a fixed number of email messages to load into the Email app, webOS allows you to define a

, so you can bring it all email from just the last day to a full month to everything in your mailbox.  Generally, the app will follow the timeframe that you have set and only bring in those requested emails, but there are a few situations where this functionality becomes broken and requires a little intervention to fix.

The most common occurrence of this is when you change the retention timeframe. If you increase the time, then the next email refresh will simply bring in those additional emails. However, if you decrease the timeframe of emails to sync, the app does not always recognize the change and keeps all those emails that were already synced.  Other than waiting for the app to hopefully fix itself over time, the easiest way to fix this to remove and add back the email account.  To do this:

  1. Open up the and find the Account with your email
  2. DO NOT tap the "Remove Account" button.
  3. Instead, flip the "Email" toggle from ON to OFF and you will get a dashboard notification that your email acount and data will be deleted. Ignore the warning
  4. to return to your Accounts listing
  5. Go back to the email's Account again and now switch the toggle from OFF back to ON.
  6. By doing this, all of the things tied to that Account--such as any or calendars--will remain untouched, and any email account settings prior to removing the email will also remain.

Another situation where we have seen the email retention timeframe fail occurred to this writer this past weekend. Every few minutes, the phone would vibrate telling me there were new emails, but nothing seemed to come through. In fact, the "new" emails that were being synced were actually very old emails, some that were from days or weeks before the defined email retention timeframe and no matter how many times I seemed to delete those older emails, they kept returning every few minutes. As it turns out, I had accidently deleted an older email while on my PC and then moved that file from the Trash back to the Inbox. For some reason, the webOS app must have been confused between the older date of the email and the more recent "modified" date of when I moved the file back into my inbox. From my computer, I moved that problem-email to a different folder in my email account to get it out of my inbox, and then be safe followed the directions above to remove and re-add my email account and everything was fixed!

I have a LG 65QNED92AUA tv that has issues with the Bluetooth connection dropping off when connected to my earbuds. I believe the issue to be software related. LG has sent 2 technicians out to repair and the first technician changed the main board and Bluetooth transmitter which did not resolve the issue.
There are similar issues with Bluetooth Connection from others.
Since hardware replacement didn’t help and this is a known software-pattern issue, I would like push LG to specifically address it at the firmware/webOS level. I am unable to escalate to their software team and check if there’s a known patch or beta firmware for the QNED92 line.
For some reason this line of questioning is not available with in LG customer service.
       Please help!

Summer time not changed on my LG smart TV ???

I have a Denon AVR hooked up to the HDMI 2 input on my LG tv. When I initially set it up, I was able to control the volume of the Denon receiver by using the LG remote. I enabled CEC Simplink and eARC on the TV and this allowed me to not only use the volume but also turn the receiver on and off automatically with the TV. Recently, my LG tv installed a software update and ever since that point, the TV reverts to TV Audio instead of HDMI 2 every time I turn the TV off and back on again. I then have to change the sound setting to HDMI and the volume control works perfectly.

Any tips? I already tried unplugging everything including the HDMI cables, turning CEC and eARK off and back on again, and reverting to all original settings but nothing seems to work.
My Denon receiver does not have eARC support, not sure if that matters but I'd love to know the best way to set it up to control volume through one remote.

      Hi,
Since updating our OLED65G2PSA to 23.20.56, we experience sprodadic issues with the network where any app requiring network access shows the generic 'no network access' message.
I have found that when this does happen, I can still PING the TV and connect to IP based web pages.  To fix I can either power cycle the TV or I can go into network settings and toggle off/on 'Set automatically' which must just be triggering something in the underlying OS to reload its DNS service.
Setting a static IP makes no difference, setting a static DNS server makes no difference - it is clearly a software issue.  We have had a TV repair company come and replace the boards, which worked right up untill updating to 23.20.56 and beyond.

Has anyone else experienced this, does anyone have a solution ?

      Issue
Whenever I start any video—whether it’s streaming apps, HDMI input, or a USB movie—the SC9S plays for a minute or two, then suddenly loses connection. Audio instantly falls back to the TV’s internal speakers, and the TV acts like the soundbar no longer exists on the eARC port. The soundbar display still shows “eARC” (sometimes flips to “OPT/ARC” for a second), but no sound.
      Temporary Fix
The only thing that gets audio back is power-cycling the TV (standby isn’t enough; full reboot required). After that, the bar reconnects… until the next random dropout. This can happen multiple times during a single movie, which is a great way to kill the vibe.
      What I’ve Tried
New HDMI 2.1-certified cable (same result, so original cable seems fine).
Disabled Quick Start+ and Simplink in the TV settings, then re-enabled.
      Factory-reset both TV and soundbar.
Tested ARC instead of eARC—works, but no Atmos and same occasional dropout.
Plugged the soundbar into a different power outlet (in case of power spike).
      Observed Patterns
Dropouts happen sooner with Dolby Atmos or DTS content, but even stereo YouTube videos eventually cut out.
No obvious heat buildup; bar is in open air, front facing.
Happens whether soundbar is wall-mounted or on its stand.
      Questions for the Hive Mind
Anyone else seeing eARC instability with the SC9S on the UP77 series?
Could this be a handshake timing bug on the TV’s HDMI board?
Any hidden service-menu tweaks or firmware betas worth trying?
Should I just RMA the bar, or is the TV the real diva here?
Appreciate any insight—my couch and I thank you in advance!
