LG Hotel TVs With Built-in Google Cast are Certified and Ready to Launch

Googlecast-HotelTV_PR_Global.jpg

SEOUL, Jan. 30, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) is set to unveil its new Google Cast-integrated hotel TVs at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025, the international systems integration and audiovisual exhibition taking place in Barcelona, Spain, from February 4-7. Google Cast, Google’s technology that lets you stream your favorite entertainment and apps from your phone, tablet or computer right to your TV, enhances the guest experience with LG Hotel TVs by providing secure and convenient access to OTT streaming services. With this user-centric innovation, LG is reinforcing its leadership in the hospitality TV market, which continues to be a key area of focus for the company’s fast-growing B2B business.

Starting January 10, LG Hotel TVs running webOS23 or later can now offer the convenience of Google Cast with hotel-specific features. Google Cast for hotel TVs is implemented with network isolation to ensure privacy across hotel rooms. To connect a personal device to an LG Hotel TV and enjoy seamless content streaming, guests simply scan a QR code displayed on the TV screen.* This removes the need for users to input personal information or log into their preferred OTT apps on the TV. Conveniently, the connection remains active throughout the guest’s stay. Upon check-out, the connection history is automatically erased, helping to deliver a hassle-free and secure user experience.

LG is expanding its presence in the hospitality market, offering a wide range of innovative, tailormade solutions, including hotel TVs, software and digital signages. In 2023, LG unveiled the world’s first hotel TV with AirPlay – Apple’s wireless content-sharing technology – which rolled out globally in 2024. With the addition of Google Cast support, LG’s hotel TV became the first in the world to simultaneously offer both AirPlay and Google Cast, providing unparalleled convenience for guests. LG also provides the Pro:Centric management solution for hotel TVs, enabling hotel operators to effortlessly customize content for individual rooms, automatically displayed on screen when guests check in.

“LG Hotel TVs with Google Cast will deliver a seamless entertainment experience for guests,” said Tiger Lan, senior director of engineering for multi-device experiences at Google. “We’re excited to see LG’s momentum in bringing this seamless casting integration to the hospitality industry, providing travelers with the familiar comforts of home while on the go.”

“Many hotel guests nowadays wish to stream their favorite content from a personal device to their in-room TV,” said Paik Ki-mun, head of Information Display Business of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “With LG Hotel TVs integrating Google Cast, they can enjoy a secure and convenient content-streaming experience, just like they’re used to at home. We will continue to strengthen our leadership in the hospitality TV market and enhance our B2B sector strategies.”

LG’s booth at ISE 2025 will feature a hotel-focused exhibition space themed “Transforming Stays into Memorable Hospitality Experiences,” where visitors can experience LG’s Hotel TVs with Google Cast firsthand.

      Hi LG team,

We are facing playback issues on LG 2024 and 2025 tv models when we try to play AAC audio content. The content starts playing but after a few seconds it pauses. We have tried with WebOS native player as well as Shaka Player and the behavior is same. We can play the aac audio content on tv models older than 2024.
      Tv model used:
      LG -2025
      Model no - 43UA83006LA/2025
      Type- ultra HD/4kTv
      LG webOS- (10.3.1)

In "CMP settings": there is a huge list of vendors, IAB and Google.
You can deselect consent for those.
However when you go back, in the Google consent are all still enabled.
Reject All doesn;t work. Deselecting individually and clicking "Confirm my choices" doesn't work. The Google ones are back on.
      That's really bad, GDPR.

CES Best of Innovation Award Winner Redefines
In-Vehicle Experience Powered by Affectionate Intelligence

SEOUL, Dec. 17, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) will unveil an immersive experiential space at CES 2026 that brings the company’s future mobility vision to life through Affectionate Intelligence. The exhibit invites visitors to experience firsthand how AI can reshape the driver, front-passenger and rear seating areas, reimagining the whole cabin as a more intuitive and human-centered space designed to enhance every ride.
This new series of solutions has earned the CES 2026 Best of Innovation Award in In-Vehicle Entertainment, marking the first time the LG Vehicle Solution Company has won the category’s top honor. The system brings together cutting-edge display technology, advanced in-cabin sensing, and on-device AI under a comprehensive AI-Defined Vehicle architecture.
The showcase features three core experiential solutions: the Mobility Display Solution, which transforms the windshield into an intelligent interface; the Automotive Vision Solution, which enhances safety and delivers context-aware information to the driver and front passenger via Vision AI; and the In-Vehicle Entertainment Solution, which provides personalized content recommendations, memory-based media and real-time translation.
In the Mobility Display Solution zone, visitors can experience how AI intuitively presents essential information through a transparent OLED-equipped windshield. For example, when approaching a traffic signal, AI displays the remaining wait time above the signal, selectively providing only the most relevant information at that moment. In autonomous driving mode, the system analyzes the surrounding environment and generates corresponding visual scenes: cherry blossom petals flutter across the display on tree-lined roads, while a monotonous tunnel transforms into an enchanting forest, creating an immersive, near-virtual-reality experience.
The Automotive Vision Solution is an advanced in-cabin sensing solution powered by LG’s Automotive Vision System, designed to enhance safety while enabling context-aware, empathetic interactions and personalized content delivery. The solution tracks driver movement, gaze direction, attention, clothing color and gestures in real time, allowing the system to understand and respond to the occupant’s state. Through eye tracking and gesture control, the system expands the range of interest-based information, while anamorphic display graphics heighten immersion and realism. For instance, in autonomous driving mode, if a front-seat passenger looks at an advertisement displayed on a building, gaze recognition can trigger related information on the passenger display, providing seamless product discovery and purchasing.
The In-Vehicle Entertainment Solution delivers personalized entertainment and interactive communication. By recognizing scenery outside the vehicle, AI can display photos linked to past memories associated with that location on the window display. Passengers can share these moments in real time through video calls with family members. During long journeys, AI recommends content tailored to individual tastes, providing entertainment that turns miles into moments. In another scenario, if a restaurant staff member communicates using sign language, AI interprets the gestures into on-screen text to support smooth, two-way communication.
“We are bringing our future mobility vision to life by embedding AI across our solutions – many of which, including in-cabin sensing, are already in production with global OEMs,” said Eun Seok-hyun, president of the LG Vehicle Solution Company. “By accelerating these innovations to market, we aim to pioneer the era of AI-driven vehicles in the years ahead.”
LG AI-Powered In-Vehicle Solutions will be on display at the company’s booth during CES 2026 from January 6-9 (#15004, Las Vegas Convention Center).

Featuring Broadcast-Grade Technology and Seamless Camera Compatibility,
Company’s LED Solution Sets a New Standard for K-Content Creation at StudioCube

SEOUL, Dec. 9, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) has announced that its dedicated virtual production (VP) LED solution is powering the newly opened “Studio V,” a cutting-edge VP stage located within StudioCube in Daejeon, South Korea. StudioCube is the country’s largest public filming facility, and Studio V now stands as one of the world’s largest volume VP studios, reinforcing Korea’s growing momentum in next-generation content production and strengthening its global presence in the entertainment market.
The opening ceremony, held on December 3 and hosted by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), brought together key government officials, including senior representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Mayor of Daejeon. Their participation signaled national support for initiatives like Studio V that push the boundaries of technological innovation in the creative content sector.
Studio V: A New Benchmark for Large-Scale Virtual Production
Purpose-built for high-end filmmaking and immersive virtual environments, Studio V features a massive J-shaped main large-scale LED walls, which support an installation of up to 8 meters high and 60 meters wide. To accommodate diverse shooting requirements, it also offers a height-adjustable ceiling screen and mobile side walls. The ceiling system includes three independent motorized LED sections capable of vertical movement and tilting.
At the heart of Studio V’s LED volume is LG’s purpose-built VP LED solution (model LBCJ026), engineered to deliver broadcast-ready performance with a 7,680Hz refresh rate and a 1/8 scan structure, minimizing visual artifacts such as flickering to ensure flawless camera capture. It achieves 99.07 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, supports deep blacks and high-end HDR and delivers realistic, high fidelity digital environments. The display’s ultra-lightweight 5.9-kilogram modules feature precision lock systems that enable smooth screen curvature between -5 to +10 degrees.
Supporting the full content-creation workflows, LG’s portfolio also includes LG OLED Pro professional monitors, widely used in production, color grading and post-production for their exceptional color accuracy and consistency.
      Collaboration for Production-Ready Performance
To create a fully integrated and production-ready environment, LG worked closely with Brompton Technology, a global leader in LED video processing. Through joint optimization of system architecture, color calibration and real-time rendering performance, the partnership ensured seamless synchronization between LED displays and video processors, enabling Studio V to meet global broadcast standards and integrate smoothly with industry-standard production equipment.
Beyond technical excellence, LED-based VP offers substantial environmental and operational benefits. By replacing large-scale physical sets with real-time 3D environments, the technology dramatically reduces material waste and carbon emissions while offering on-set advantages such as real-time visualization and faster, more efficient shooting schedules.
Driving the Future of Immersive Content Creation
LG continues to strengthen its leadership in VP technology by combining decades of display innovation with hands-on production experience. At the company’s North American headquarters in New Jersey, LG operates its own VP studio equipped with the LG MAGNIT micro LED display, producing commercial content in collaboration with its global in-house creative agency, HSAD. This direct engagement with real-world production workflows provides valuable insight that fuels continuous refinement of LG’s VP technology.
“Virtual production is reshaping the future of content creation, and LG is committed to driving this shift,” said Nicolas Min, head of the Information Display Business at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “Studio V offers a world-class environment that sets a new benchmark for immersive production, enabling K-content to expand its reach and impact on a truly global scale. We will continue to invest in sustainable innovation and collaborative partnerships that elevate production efficiency and empower creators everywhere.”
