SEOUL, Mar. 11, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is presenting its latest heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions at Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) 2024 in Milan, Italy, from March 12-15. LG’s booth will showcase the company’s energy-efficient HVAC solutions for home and business, including the new DUALCOOL™ residential air conditioner indoor unit that provides a year-round pleasant indoor environment, residential heat pump solutions and commercial hydronic solutions employing low-Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerants.

New Residential Air Conditioners With Comfortable Air Flow
In the Home Gallery section of the booth’s Residential Zone, visitors can see for themselves what is so special about LG’s new DUALCOOL residential air conditioner with ‘interior fit’ design.

LG’s air conditioner is equipped with a comfort-enhancing Soft Air™ function, which provides customized and a soothing, indirect breeze, and an innovative DUAL Vane™ system, sending warm or cool air in multiple directions to deliver fast and effective temperature control for a favorable indoor environment. Engineered for the European market, the DUALCOOL leverages the state-of-the-art DUAL Inverter Heat Pump Compressor™ to deliver efficient heating and cooling. Another feature designed to reduce energy consumption is the kW Manager™, which lets users set electricity-usage targets and monitor the air conditioner’s estimated electricity usage via the ThinQ™ app.

Also on display in the Residential Zone, the stylish ARTCOOL Gallery™ air conditioner can be personalized by selecting beautiful images or dynamic content (using the ThinQ app) to display on its bright LCD screen, which is bordered by a simple yet sophisticated frame.

Residential HVAC Solutions for Diverse Installation Environments and Lifestyles
The Air-to-Air Residential Solution area of LG’s booth offers up a wide selection of solutions from the Multi Split lineup, including the new wall-mounted DUALCOOL residential air conditioner and several indoor units that can be adapted for diverse installation environments and lifestyles. Additionally, visitors can check out the company’s residential Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) solution for residential applications such as Multi V™ S combined with Hydro Kit (Integrated Water Tank). This seamlessly integrated innovation provides stable heating, cooling and hot-water supply.

In the Air-to-Water Residential Solution section, the spotlight is on the LG Therma V™ R290 Monobloc air-to-water heat pump (AWHP) and an array of medium- and large-size heating solutions. Ideal for use in single-family residential dwellings, the R290 Monobloc matches strong performance with an equally strong design – one that incorporates an elegant and wavy grille finished in matte black. Among the various indoor and outdoor units on display in the Air-to-Water Residential Solution section are the Control Unit, Combi Unit and Hydro Unit – a diverse lineup that is compatible with R290 Monobloc, demonstrating LG’s unmatched ability to provide solutions for diverse installation environments. Moreover, the high-efficiency heat pump solutions are available in various capacities to meet the needs of both new and existing residential properties, including multi-family dwellings.

Home Energy Platform for a More Sustainable Solution
Inside the Air-to-Water Residential Solution section of the booth, visitors can learn how LG’s Home Energy Platform can create a more sustainable solution for home. An extensive energy solution that brings together the LG Therma V R290 Monobloc and the Energy Storage System (ESS), the Home Energy Platform streamlines HVAC and energy management, and can help shrink a household’s carbon footprint.1 Moreover, the heat pumps can significantly reduce carbon emissions when coupled with renewable energy sources such as solar.2 The ESS offers innovative ways to improve the efficiency of renewable energy usage in the home, and functions as a back-up power source if electricity supply is interrupted. Furthermore, the Home Energy Platform is compatible with LG ThinQ Energy,3 an extensive feature of LG ThinQ app, enabling users to monitor energy storage consumption and control their smart appliances and HVAC systems from their smartphones.

Advanced Hydronic Solutions Headlined by the Multi V™ i
In the Commercial Zone, the focus is on advanced hydronic solutions like the Multi V i, Inverter Scroll Chiller and select Hydro Kit lineups. The Multi V i leverages LG’s AI Engine to deliver AI Smart Care, which uses spatial and situational learning to help reduce daily energy consumption. Consistent thermal conditions are essential to accommodate optimal temperature preferences and ensure user safety and peak performance. The AI Indoor Space Care automatically adjusts the indoor environment in response to actual conditions, regulating connected indoor units to provide a convenient user experience and maintain a steady temperature. Another feature enabled by the AI Engine is AI Energy Management, which allows users to set energy consumption targets to lower the overall power usage of Multi V i.

The Commercial Zone also features LG’s innovative heat recovery unit, designed to enhance the safety of R32-refrigerant-equipped HVAC solutions. In addition, the zone highlights VRF solutions for light commercial spaces, alongside the R32-refrigerant Multi V and Inverter Scroll Chiller.

What’s more, visitors to LG’s booth can experience the airflow of DUALCOOL and 4-way Cassettes via the use of Augmented Reality (AR) and kinetic visualization technology. LG’s industry-leading HVAC component solutions, including its efficient and durable compressors, will also be on display during the exhibition.

      I've just updated my LG 55UM75 TV to the latest software version - 05..20.15 - and now the picture looks off.
      I've turned off TruMotion, Motion Eye Care, Smooth Gradation, Noise Reduction and Smooth Gradation, but somehow everything still looks artificial.
      Is there another picture setting I'm missing, I've gone through every setting I can find.

      SEOUL, Dec. 17, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) will unveil an immersive experiential space at CES 2026 that brings the company’s future mobility vision to life through Affectionate Intelligence. The exhibit invites visitors to experience firsthand how AI can reshape the driver, front-passenger and rear seating areas, reimagining the whole cabin as a more intuitive and human-centered space designed to enhance every ride.
      This new series of solutions has earned the CES 2026 Best of Innovation Award in In-Vehicle Entertainment, marking the first time the LG Vehicle Solution Company has won the category’s top honor. The system brings together cutting-edge display technology, advanced in-cabin sensing, and on-device AI under a comprehensive AI-Defined Vehicle architecture.
      The showcase features three core experiential solutions: the Mobility Display Solution, which transforms the windshield into an intelligent interface; the Automotive Vision Solution, which enhances safety and delivers context-aware information to the driver and front passenger via Vision AI; and the In-Vehicle Entertainment Solution, which provides personalized content recommendations, memory-based media and real-time translation.
      In the Mobility Display Solution zone, visitors can experience how AI intuitively presents essential information through a transparent OLED-equipped windshield. For example, when approaching a traffic signal, AI displays the remaining wait time above the signal, selectively providing only the most relevant information at that moment. In autonomous driving mode, the system analyzes the surrounding environment and generates corresponding visual scenes: cherry blossom petals flutter across the display on tree-lined roads, while a monotonous tunnel transforms into an enchanting forest, creating an immersive, near-virtual-reality experience.
      The Automotive Vision Solution is an advanced in-cabin sensing solution powered by LG’s Automotive Vision System, designed to enhance safety while enabling context-aware, empathetic interactions and personalized content delivery. The solution tracks driver movement, gaze direction, attention, clothing color and gestures in real time, allowing the system to understand and respond to the occupant’s state. Through eye tracking and gesture control, the system expands the range of interest-based information, while anamorphic display graphics heighten immersion and realism. For instance, in autonomous driving mode, if a front-seat passenger looks at an advertisement displayed on a building, gaze recognition can trigger related information on the passenger display, providing seamless product discovery and purchasing.
      The In-Vehicle Entertainment Solution delivers personalized entertainment and interactive communication. By recognizing scenery outside the vehicle, AI can display photos linked to past memories associated with that location on the window display. Passengers can share these moments in real time through video calls with family members. During long journeys, AI recommends content tailored to individual tastes, providing entertainment that turns miles into moments. In another scenario, if a restaurant staff member communicates using sign language, AI interprets the gestures into on-screen text to support smooth, two-way communication.

      Company’s LED Solution Sets a New Standard for K-Content Creation at StudioCube

      SEOUL, Dec. 9, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) has announced that its dedicated virtual production (VP) LED solution is powering the newly opened “Studio V,” a cutting-edge VP stage located within StudioCube in Daejeon, South Korea. StudioCube is the country’s largest public filming facility, and Studio V now stands as one of the world’s largest volume VP studios, reinforcing Korea’s growing momentum in next-generation content production and strengthening its global presence in the entertainment market.
      The opening ceremony, held on December 3 and hosted by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), brought together key government officials, including senior representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Mayor of Daejeon. Their participation signaled national support for initiatives like Studio V that push the boundaries of technological innovation in the creative content sector.
      Studio V: A New Benchmark for Large-Scale Virtual Production
      Purpose-built for high-end filmmaking and immersive virtual environments, Studio V features a massive J-shaped main large-scale LED walls, which support an installation of up to 8 meters high and 60 meters wide. To accommodate diverse shooting requirements, it also offers a height-adjustable ceiling screen and mobile side walls. The ceiling system includes three independent motorized LED sections capable of vertical movement and tilting.
      At the heart of Studio V’s LED volume is LG’s purpose-built VP LED solution (model LBCJ026), engineered to deliver broadcast-ready performance with a 7,680Hz refresh rate and a 1/8 scan structure, minimizing visual artifacts such as flickering to ensure flawless camera capture. It achieves 99.07 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, supports deep blacks and high-end HDR and delivers realistic, high fidelity digital environments. The display’s ultra-lightweight 5.9-kilogram modules feature precision lock systems that enable smooth screen curvature between -5 to +10 degrees.
      Supporting the full content-creation workflows, LG’s portfolio also includes LG OLED Pro professional monitors, widely used in production, color grading and post-production for their exceptional color accuracy and consistency.
      Collaboration for Production-Ready Performance
      To create a fully integrated and production-ready environment, LG worked closely with Brompton Technology, a global leader in LED video processing. Through joint optimization of system architecture, color calibration and real-time rendering performance, the partnership ensured seamless synchronization between LED displays and video processors, enabling Studio V to meet global broadcast standards and integrate smoothly with industry-standard production equipment.
      Beyond technical excellence, LED-based VP offers substantial environmental and operational benefits. By replacing large-scale physical sets with real-time 3D environments, the technology dramatically reduces material waste and carbon emissions while offering on-set advantages such as real-time visualization and faster, more efficient shooting schedules.

      LG continues to strengthen its leadership in VP technology by combining decades of display innovation with hands-on production experience. At the company’s North American headquarters in New Jersey, LG operates its own VP studio equipped with the LG MAGNIT micro LED display, producing commercial content in collaboration with its global in-house creative agency, HSAD. Earlier this month, we welcomed 14 of Brazil’s leading HVAC installers to South Korea for the LG Brazil Installer HVAC Academy.

      Designed to strengthen participants’ technical capabilities and reinforce our partnership network, the program combined hands-on learning with site visits and in-depth technical sessions. Participants also had the chance to present their own case studies and explore how LG’s advanced, eco-conscious HVAC solutions are shaping a smarter, more sustainable future.
      The Academy began with a visit to a local reference site showcasing LG’s latest residential air conditioning systems. The visit offered participants a close-up look at how our technologies are applied in real-world settings to deliver comfort, energy efficiency and reliability.

      The following day, experts from Hi-M Solutek – an LG subsidiary specializing in total HVAC services including maintenance, engineering and building management – led an immersive seminar. The session explored advanced installation methods and shared best-practice cases from across South Korea’s HVAC industry.

      Brazilian participants also took the stage to present their own successful installation projects, sharing valuable insights and field expertise that sparked meaningful exchanges with peers and LG engineers alike.
      The program concluded with a visit to LG Smart Park in Changwon, our world-class manufacturing site for residential and commercial air conditioners. Attendees toured the state-of-the-art HVAC showroom and participated in a dynamic Q&A session with LG’s product development team – discussing future innovations, trends and the evolving role of smart, sustainable technologies in HVAC.

      The LG Brazil Installer HVAC Academy is part of our broader effort to foster collaboration and continuous learning across the global HVAC community. Alongside this initiative, we’ve hosted a series of HVAC Leaders’ Summit events for consultants from Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Most recently, in July 2025, we brought together 30 leading consultants from Central and South America in Panama for a regional summit focused on innovation and partnership.

Unified under the “One LG Solution” strategy, the three LG Group affiliates are collaborating to offer a complete lineup of products and services for next-generation AI data centers – covering thermal management, data center design and energy solutions.
      One LG: Integrated Solutions for the Future of AI Data Centers
      Created to meet growing global demand for AI infrastructure, One LG Solution positions LG as the first-choice strategic partner for data center operators seeking efficiency, scalability and sustainability. The approach combines LG’s cutting-edge cooling technologies, LG CNS’s expertise in data center design, construction and operations and LG Energy Solution’s battery systems into a single cohesive offering for high-performance data processing facilities.
      LG’s thermal management portfolio for large-scale, AI-focused data centers includes large-capacity chillers, direct-to-chip (DTC) cooling systems and computer room air handlers (CRAHs). Solutions such as the Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) and Cold Plate are designed to provide precise temperature regulation for next-generation CPUs and GPUs, supporting stable and energy-efficient performance.

Through its joint venture with Indonesia’s Sinar Mas Group, LG Sinarmas Technology Solutions, the company recently secured a major AI data center construction contract, which includes the deployment of LG’s inverter turbo chillers and other dedicated cooling systems. To accelerate its AI data center business, LG CNS is conducting proof-of-concept testing on immersion cooling, an advanced cooling technology, and has secured the “AI Box” (tentative name), a solution that consolidates all data center operational components into a container-sized unit.
      Leveraging its patented battery technologies, LG Energy Solution provides uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems designed to maintain continuous and reliable energy availability. These systems offer robust support for data centers in managing operational stability amid increasing AI workloads and fluctuating energy demand.
      Bringing together the strengths and expertise of all three companies, One LG Solution’s integrated platform empowers global data centers to achieve operational resilience, energy efficiency and scalability.
      LG’s Thermal and Energy Solutions for Next-Generation Data Centers
      The One LG Solution showcase at DCWA 2025 underscores LG’s leadership in thermal management solutions engineered for data center environments. The LG CDU, equipped with a high-efficiency inverter pump, provides scalability and considerable installation flexibility through its compact, modular design. The Cold Plate liquid cooling system, featuring advanced DTC technology, is designed to directly manage the high thermal loads of advanced chips in data center servers.
      Complementing these solutions, LG’s water-cooled chiller incorporates a magnetic bearing controller and oil-free centrifugal compressors, contributing to improved reliability and reduced energy consumption. The CRAH solution further enhances operational stability by reducing electricity usage and managing airflow effectively.
      LG’s innovative direct current (DC) grid solution minimizes energy loss in data center operations. While traditional alternating current (AC) conversion can result in around 25 percent heat loss, LG’s DC grid reduces this to approximately 10 percent by enabling chillers to operate directly on DC power. Combined with high-efficiency inverter pumps and heat exchangers, the DC grid significantly improves power efficiency and contributes to lowering total operating costs.
