  1. I updated ITV Hub to ITVX and it works fine on my TV. I hate that I still cannot watch live TV on it though. I have it on a Firestick and that has the live tab so I use that more than the TV. If I had known about the problems on LG with live TV I would have looked at another make possibly with Android instead of this awful WebOS.
  2. My understanding is that LG refuse to allow ITV to stream live because ITV want paying more for that. They are not alone in that since channel 4 also don't allow live streaming on LG. I just use a Firestick and it suits all my needs for now. I just hope that ITV got their act together because the Hub was a total failure as an app.
  3. Why does LG sell televisions without live access to the channels? I don't want to watch catchup TV I want to watch live TV, but LG seem to have decided that I can buy their system, but they will not provide me with a full set of apps that allow me to watch live television. This will be the last LG product I will ever purchase as they don't appear to care about their customers once they have sold them a television that does not function the way it should.
  4. Why, when I have a good internet speed does BBC Iplayer keep freezing or saying unable to connect? I can switch to my Firestick and use that but after paying for an LG TV I expect that to work as well, especially when the Firestick is plugged into the LG TV.
  5. Why doesn't LG have ITV hub live option? Surely a company as large as this can do a deal with ITV and allow live TV on the hub.
  6. The only speed test app now doesn't work as the domain appears to be for sale. Is there anyone who knows of another way to check the speed on the device?
  7. Depends on your location, if you are in the UK then ensure you have selected that on settings and also ensure the time is correct. If outside UK you need smart DNS or a VPN.
  8. I kept getting this error and resolved it by setting the location to UK although I'm not living there. I tried using smart DNS and VPN but I still got the error until I did the location change.
  9. I use smart DNS and had a lot of problems as I live in a different country. I solved it by switching the location to London a switched the auto time setting to off. I get all UK terrestrial channels np problem and 1 advantage was that the local channels that normally broadcast English language programs in a dubbed format are suddenly in English. I use Asus router with Merlin software installed. I'm in Spain also but can't get terrestrial tv via satellite so also use iptv. I had no problems until IP provider changed his system. I had to change my router and the cheapest option was ASUS and install Merlin, which was really straightforward. I was using a kodi box but then changed TV to an LG. I had problems as I set it initially for Spain and then found I couldn't get any UK terrestrial. I eventually found out that by putting the location as UK and the time as I said it all worked. I use videophone and have smartDNS in the router but can add a VPN to my PC as needed. I have never had to use one on the TV.

  11. This app is geo protected, you need to be located in the UK for it to work. The only way round it is to use a VPN set to UK and change the location on the TV to London.

  13. I have just taken delivery of a Lg 55UM7100PLB television and have gone through all the rigmarole of being unable to download the agreements. I finally did it by the method described on here by using a hot spot on my mobile phone. I now find that I cannot access anything on the internet at all and just get error 105. I have switched from wireless to Ethernet and it's still the same. I have other devices (Sky box, kodi Box etc) connected to the same router and they have no problem at all. I have tried changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 but to no avail. The TV shows that it's connected to the internet but refuses to do anything at all when connected via the router. Has anyone had a similar problem? My router is an ASUS RT-AC68U and has been modded by installing Asuswrt- Merlin because my ISP operates a transparent DNS and my Sky Box etc do not work without the modified router. Any advice will be gratefully received.
