After blocking youtube in Russia I connect ipv6 protocol, but youtube app not work, only work in browser. Does it work with ipv6 or not? How to up the priority for use ipv6 over ipv4. How to disable ipv4 on TV, I can only disable ipv6.

I'm afraid it looks like LG have dropped support for Freeview Play this year which means catchup apps like ITVx, 4OD or Channel 5 arent available. This isnt made clear on product pages and not covered well in reviews given how important it is. They've also dropped DTS support this year too. Other brands have adopted Freely to provide catchup and live TV into the future but not LG. Something similar happened to 2020 CX models and it was many months before some of those apps were made available then. Assuming this also affects C5 and B5 this will become more and more talked about until we're able to get LG to sort it out.

Just an update after contact with LG customer support. The trick seems to be to switch off the 'programme list update' in the satellite settings and this then re-activates the 'add satellite' option. Further, the nearest satellite was then also selected as was the case before the recent webOS update.

I have an LG OLED TV 2024, and the remote does not have a FAV button. I have saved some favorite OTA channels through the Channel Manager, but I don't know how to access them without a FAV button. Can someone help me with this?

Hi Ana, I have a quite recent LG OLED 65 C3 (2023) which is a "smart" TV. When I first installed the TV, I also installed a lot of applications (that you can find in the LG content store). Of course I installed SPOTIFY among all the apps. Among all the new LG TVs, those that are using webOS are all elligible to get access a lot of app in the LG Content Store. From https://us.lgappstv.com/main (please change us with your country 2 letters), you can search for a specific model (for exemple mine is OLED65C3) for a specific application (for example SPOTIFY) or you can list applications supported. Generally when you have a webOS TV, there are generally like 3000 apps that you can install on your smart TV. Hope this will help you.

Yes, the connector you pictured is also known as TOSLINK. To connect to your device you need a fiber optic cable. It's not a wire. Your StreamLine TV should have the same connector and the cable will have a special connector on both ends that fits in both devices. Since it is fiber optic, be very careful to not put any kinks in the cable.

Hi all, last week I got my new LG 65" C4 Oled delivered. I investigated using first a 32Gb memory stick for recording live programmes and pause live TV facility. I was able to record programmes but the Live TV would not work 🥲 The LG usb is the slower 2.0 spec but I read that most low current SSD drives should still work fine with 2.0 Today I received a 240Gb drive with Sata to usb 3.0 cable (3.0 is backwards compatible with 2.0). I can confirm that everyting works fine and for just £17.40 I now have pause live TV and loads of space for recording programmes. Hi again and sorry for the late reply. Yes that product code seems to be the deciding factor. I suspect anyone with a product code of PF50KG-GL.AEULLAN will not be able to upgrade to v03.00.17 while those with the code PF50KG-GL.APDLLAN will be able to. It would be good to put that information in the instructions for updating the firmware. It would also be interesting to hear from others who succeeded in upgrading their projector on which product code they have. Cheers.

I haven't searched this forum, but there has to be others who find that tv remote pointer to be extremely annoying. I'm actually surprised that we still can't turn that feature off. Having the cursor/pointer feature isn't even close to the importance of being able to shut off. I mean, how hard is to put one checkbox in the ui to toggle the feature on or off? It seems like a no-brainer, big bang for the buck change that many users would appreciate

I contacted the local LG service center and they changed the motherboard for the TV (under warranty), hopefully the new one will work fine.

@wallyricks You may be correct that a Windows Update has made this start to occur. Both Windows 10 and 11 have been beefing up security a lot recently, to stop bad/buggy executables and apps from compromising the system. It is possible that the LG SmartShare program has "got away with it" for some time, and as you say, best to choose a better, more up-to-date app.

You have a new 2024 model, a c4. even if you open the service menu, you cannot edit the value. You can unlock that with jailbreak, but till today there is no publick jailbreak avaiable for you tv

Information about the reasons for turning off the TV (due to problems with the equipment or a normal shutdown with the remote control) is stored in the logs of the TV service menu. I also have this exact issue, and I am also on Rowridge, though I didn’t think of the transmitter being implicated. I can tell you the ‘fix’ - Settings/General/Programmes/Programme Tuning and Settings/Programme List Update - set this to Off. (The exact journey from Settings to Programmes varies across my four LG TVs). After that, if the programme list really changes, you will get ‘Programme Map Changed - do you want to retune Yes/No?’ and you can do this when it is convenient for you. As to the problem, it is the TV waking up once a night to check the Programme List, finding no broadcast channels, or thinking that it has, and in a massive failure of common sense, deleting all the ‘missing’ channels from your EPG, leaving only the few IP ‘channels’ that are always there, as per your first picture (even though I can’t see either image, I’m pretty sure what they look like). And then not waking up later on to check again, and maybe put the channels back. LG should fix the check so that if it finds no channels at all, it leaves things alone, or reschedules the check for an hour later, or some such. It would be interesting if anybody else reports the same issue here, and from what transmitter. I might ask Freeview what they think, as well.

Hey, for some reason I haven't experienced the issue very much after posting it. If it does happen the only solution that seems to work for me is to hard power off the devices (i.e. turn them off at the wall) and then turn them on again. I am not sure if they ALL need to be powered off, you can start with just doing the TV but mine are all on 1 plug so they all go off an on when I cycle the power.

You english is perfectly correct. I am French and member of this community group (not a LG employee). I also bougth the C3 TV recently and I also have this logo that takes 2 seconds or so. But I choose to go directly to the "recent input" (your Entrada Reciente) so I bypass the LG menu (there is a paramter for this). However, I think your question is about how to bypass the logo, isn't it ? I don't have the answer for that. I think the logo is "mandatory". Phil.

Do you have any devices connected via HDMI? For example a DVD player, or a set-top-box or PVR? If so, check the cables are not low spec or bad. I had that exact issue, and it was an old/cheap HDMI cable, and even when NOT using that port, it would affect a TV channel display.

II hope in a future update we are given the option to disable the annoying pointer on the Magic Remote. VERY ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!

I found a way to boost my download speed! I went into the connection settings on my TV and switched the IP address to manual. Then, I entered a custom IP address that works on my network instead of using the automatic setting. This bumped up my download speed from 7 MB to 22 MB! Just make sure the IP address you choose isn't already in use on your network.

I have recently bought LG smart TV and facing the same issue on IPTV smarters pro. Unable to swap between audio tracks on TV itself. I can see options are available but arrow navigates between top settings and bottom fonts, can't select any other option. I have fire tv stick connected with same TV and there I can change the audio track in IPTV smarters pro. Did you guys receive any reply of your emails from smarters pro? or somebody got any hack. If someone can suggest any other free IPTV app for LG smart TV where the same credentials of iptv smarters pro can be used and have audio track option to select. Thanks

My LG web browser stopped playing videos from some websites, but not all. Finally discovered that "Adaptive Streaming using Javascript" was enabled. I disabled this setting and the problem was resolved. To change the setting, go to the web browser's "settings" menu.

TV is nice but there are a lot of details to be fixed. And as far as we know this is not a strong part of LG. Frustrating slow interface. TV may have worked a long time and can switch options menu, wait at least 10 seconds. All this happens in a dual-core processor. SmartShare again can not remember my desire, to i see the content in folders. Bad maintenance of subtitles. There is no possibility to change and preserve the default encoding to another on the list. At the same time can remembers the color, size and position of the subtitle. For extra as 3D dynamic subtitles, that each blu ray device supports, i do not even think. I do not want to talk about the strange consumer agreements and any restriction imposed by LG, if you do not accept. Such arrogance, even Apple does not allow.

Most of the comments would suggest the software is still somewhat immature. Remember that this is the very first version of WebOS for the TV, and it has only been released for a few months now, and during that time several updates have been released that have resolved some issues. The good news with this is that LG have probably a few years worth of updates to solve these issues until the current hardware is obsolete and you HAVE to buy a whole new TV set. The bad news is of course that we have no idea what kind of items they have on their backlog. I doubt a company like LG have portals like Microsofts "Connect" where e.g. anyone can vote up new features, bugs etc for their products. For us, the only way are through official channels. And the more that report a specific problem, the more likely is that it will be resolved. For a first release, I think the OS is "OK". There are many features missing or not working properly, but I assume (without knowing) that they will be resolved in due time. If not, then the next time I won't buy an LG TV... /H

Agreed, i alredy posted my disapoitment, I was fulled by the tv presentation about LGwebOS, it is actualy worse than any OS i have ever seen on TV as far the performance - the idea it selff is OK. switching chanels takes 3-5 sec opening seings somtimes takes up to 10 sec. you can only chose external or tv speakers not simuntaniasly and many more other things. I would gladly install google TV if there will be posibility or - even previuse LG smart tv OS
