Turn off WiFi Direct on 43NANO

Recommended Posts

OK this is REALLY frustrating and annoying - as I understand, people have been asking for this feature for ages now, and I can't imagine why it would be so difficult to program an on/off switch.

My neighbor is a really old dude, he has no idea what he's pressing on his phone. By some weird chance - and no, he's not doing this on purpose - he tries to establish a WiFi Direct connection to my TV like 850 times a day. As I don't use this feature, I'd like to be able to turn it off, because what if my other neighbors simply decided to annoy me? The TV is visible on like 5 floors in my building.

It's not an option to turn off WiFi altogether, as I have no intention of running a 15-meter cable through my house.

PLEASE for once just listen to what people have to say.

Also, this latest WebOS update has made things like 70% slower, I have an abnormal delay whatever I press. No kind of resetting did anything to fix this.

Your lucky can't even turn mine on after doing hard reset and update 5.60.15 can't get any WiFi just keeps searching webos49uh850v

Hi Dav2,

Thanks for your reply, however it's not an option to turn off WiFi entirely, as my router is 15m away. I COULD, in theory, use a cable, but I refuse to drill holes - that's what WiFi is for 😁
Sorry to hear about your problems 😢 The last update screwed things up pretty bad for many of us ...

      Hello there,
Is it possible to turn off search on the home screen, or filter results to show only apps? Ideally, I'd like to limit content to be appropriate for kids.

I have a  LG OLED55C14LB WebOS TV in the same room as my xubuntu desktop computer and router.

I have installed Gnome Network Displays on the Linux PC and both machines are on the same 5G network.

When I connect the PC to the TV via WiFi the TV puts up a 'cancel' option and no option to connect. The Network display app only has an option to 'Return' which closes the connection.

If I do nothing and wait the connection times out and returns to the TV program. The TV is obviously waiting for permission to connect.

I cannot see any way to 'accept' the connection via the TV remote. Can anyone tell me how to accept the connection?
In addition, is it possible to have the TV remember the WiFi password? Passwords are complex nowadays and it is a pain to keep having to input it. This make casting your desktop a chore.

I have a smart tv LG and wanted to turn CCCAM protocol. The model is 50 inch.

Hi, I  have a few months with an LG OLED C3  and tis week started to turn on different.
I'm aware that the Web OS logo appear when the TV install an update but that logo has a power outlet underneath and everytime I turn on the TV it's just the Web OS logo and my homepage takes like two seconds to load the order of my apps.
Is this normal? English is not my first language so sorry if it's hard to understand.

I have an LG 2022 tv that I connected with Alexa. Alexa can change the channel of the tv and turn it off, but when I say “Alexa, turn on the tv” she says “TV isn’t responding. Please check its network connection and power supply.” How can I get the tv to listen to Alexa even when it’s off?
