Cultural institutions play a pivotal role in shaping the local arts, the perfect example of one being the LG Arts Center SEOUL – the pinnacle of the Korean arts and culture scene which reopened its doors to the public this year.

Gracing the venue is the LG SIGNATURE hall, an elegant space aptly named after LG’s ultra-premium brand and global benefactor of the arts. Home to diverse, phenomenal performances, this hall is testimony to LG SIGNATURE’s firm dedication to cultivating the finest of culture. To celebrate the opening of LG Arts Center SEOUL as well as the LG SIGNATURE hall, LG on behalf of LG SIGNATURE hosted an exclusive performance series in November to deliver a “moving” experience – both literally and figuratively – to local art aficionados.

With two major performances, He Who Falls and Opening 2, this exciting series introduced Yoann Bourgeois, a dancer-choreographer and performance director with major standing in the global contemporary performing arts world, to the most sophisticated Seoulites. Blurring the lines between acrobatics and dance, Bourgeois’s interdisciplinary approach embodied LG SIGNATURE’s philosophy and home appliances that unite the best of art and technology.

Possibly the most sought-after performance in the LG Arts Center SEOUL opening festival was He Who Falls, which treated LG SIGNATURE hall goers to a dynamic performance directed by Bourgeois and performed by the renowned National Choreographic Center of Grenoble. During the impressive show, its exceptionally talented dancers demonstrated seamlessly elegant movements on a rotating turntable to Frank Sinatra’s iconic song, My Way.

Meanwhile, Opening 2 offered a short yet mesmerizing glimpse into the grace, power and presence Bourgeois brings to the stage. LG SIGNATURE’s most distinguished customers and clients were invited to attend both shows so that they could fully understand the brand’s unique artistic approach to shaping customer experiences.

As to immerse visitors in truly aesthetic sensations, LG SIGNATURE set up a special exhibition and photo zone in the LG SIGNATURE hall’s main lobby. Echoing the unique architectural style of the LG Arts Center SEOUL conceived by virtuoso Tadao Ando, the exhibition zone provided a look into the LG SIGNATURE products synonymous with artistry, including LG SIGNATURE Wine Cellar, InstaView Door-in-Door Refrigerator and OLED R TV.

Elsewhere in the lobby was a fully interactive photo zone which brought Bourgeois’s performances to life again, leaving visitors with truly unforgettable impressions and sensitivities.

Milan Design Week, also known as Salone del Mobile, is the world’s preeminent furniture and design fair. Held in Italy’s famous fashion capital, it is a truly global showcase of innovation, creativity and luxurious style. Amidst this year’s celebration of inspiring and aspirational home living, LG presented its latest premium built-in products, including collaborations with renowned designers, at the Signature Kitchen Suite Showroom on Milan’s Piazza Cavour.

Open since 2020, the showroom artfully exhibits the sleek offerings of the Signature Kitchen Suite while introducing visitors to the brand’s True to Food philosophy. This stylish space, where tradition meets innovation, spans three levels – ground floor, basement and mezzanine – each featuring stellar Signature Kitchen Suite built-ins designed and made to the most exacting standards. The advanced appliances on display are complemented by a nature-inspired décor designed by Calvi Brambilla, an esteemed multidisciplinary design studio based in Milan.

One of the showroom’s special zones cleverly evokes the natural beauty of Italy through the use of Milano Pink, a warm, soothing color inspired by the pink hues that adorn the Alps when viewed from Milan at sunset. Visitors can experience the unique value of Signature Kitchen Suite and LG home appliances firsthand by exploring the showroom’s Food Academy and simulated domestic spaces, which include a kitchen, living room, bedroom and laundry room.

Structured around the theme of the Art of Precision, the showroom compellingly conveys the Signature Kitchen Suite design philosophy through a hand-picked selection of artworks and engaging experiential programs. Visitors can discover different examples of the ‘art of precision’ via the exhibit’s Master Craftsmen encounters, where a flavorist, a watchmaker, a baker and a glazier each demonstrate the level of care and skill that LG’s premium built-in brand has come to represent.

A delightful display of delicate origami decorations, which greets guests as they enter the showroom’s reception area, serves as another symbolic tie to the craftsman-like quality of Signature Kitchen Suite appliances. The origami pieces are accompanied by dozens of bottles containing artisanal vanilla essence, each with its own unique aroma.

Coinciding with Milan Design Week, LG showcased a variety of stunning appliances brought to life through its collaborations with high-end furniture brands and design groups. This year, acclaimed furniture designer and architect Patricia Urquiola, known around the world for iconic designs such as the Dudet Chair and Sengu Table, partnered with LG to create a new masterpiece for Signature Kitchen Suite. Visitors to the Signature Kitchen Suite Showroom have the privilege of seeing Urquiola and LG’s ultra-chic undercounter modular refrigerator in person.

A seamless fit for both kitchens and living rooms, Urquiola’s unerringly elegant creation aligns with the popular home and interior design trend of blurring the boundaries between living spaces. Resembling a sophisticated cabinet or set of drawers, the refrigerator offers custom size and color choices to suit the specific needs and preferences of each customer. Its upper compartment can be used for the efficient storage of bottled water, beer, wine (or other beverages) and even cosmetics, while its lower compartment functions as a convenient freezer.

Another aesthetically-unimpeachable appliance that debuted during Salone del Mobile was the Signature Kitchen Suite Wine Cabin. A collaboration between LG and m2atlier, a Milan-based architectural design group, this remarkable piece provides temperature-controlled wine storage in its lower compartment, storage space for wine glasses and bottles in its upper compartment, and a beautiful cigar box in between.

The Wine Cabin’s central rotating base supports a structure that can be customized with different finishes. Encased in micro-ribbed glass, the effortlessly luxe m2atlier design was conceived as a “precious container” for the Signature Kitchen Suite under-shelf wine cellar.

From creative collaborations with leading designers to carefully curated exhibits, the Signature Kitchen Suite Showroom in Milan celebrates the essence of design, technology and luxury living.

Hanok, traditional Korean houses, are renowned for their aesthetic beauty construction and harmonious integration with nature. Inspired by this distinctive architectural form – prized for its energy efficiency, natural ventilation and lighting – LG Spain has constructed an AI-powered home named ‘Another Hanok.’ This innovative abode showcases LG’s latest technological and design advancements and highlights some of the ecologically-focused projects undertaken as part of LG Spain’s ‘Smart Green’ movement.

During the Another Hanok opening ceremony, LG reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the global climate response through its ongoing ESG initiatives and sustainable product solutions. The event was attended by 80 guests, including the president of LG Spain, local and Korean government officials and representatives from various partner companies. Since establishing the Smart Green movement in 2017, LG Spain has developed product solutions aimed at reducing environmental harm while encouraging and fostering community engagement.
      Efficient Innovations for Sustainable Dwellings
Self-sufficient, connected and sustainably powered, Another Hanok embraces and embodies LG’s Smart Green philosophy. The house produces, stores, saves and shares clean energy, achieving 100 percent energy independence* through the use of LG’s state-of-the-art technologies as a way to reduce its environmental impact.

Leading up to the entrance of Another Hanok is a beautifully designed pathway that inspires feelings of peace and tranquility while reminding visitors of the pressing environmental issues facing our planet. As visitors approach the house, they encounter a variety of interactive displays and installations that spotlight the challenges of reducing carbon emissions and the urgent need for companies and consumers to adopt responsible practices.

Inside, visitors can explore several spaces, each focused on different aspects of sustainable living. From energy-efficient appliances to advanced HVAC systems, Another Hanok demonstrates how LG’s cutting-edge technologies and solutions can help create a net-zero-energy home. The seamless installation of the LG Therma V R290 Monobloc heat pump contributes to the house’s efficient use of power, while ensuring the reliable heating and cooling for visitor comfort. Conveniently, the solution’s energy consumption can be monitored through the ThinQ Energy Service. Additionally, surplus energy produced by the solar panels installed on the roof of Another Hanok is stored in LG’s energy storage system.

      Expanding the Smart Green Movement
Launched in 2017, LG Spain’s Smart Green movement is an initiative that continues to help regenerate local environments and ecosystems. The movement’s goals include planting 48 million trees (Smart Green Trees), repopulating 48 million Iberian bees to ensure the pollination of countless endemic plant species (Smart Green Bees), and reviving the health of the Mediterranean Sea (Smart Green Seas).

      The ‘Another Life’ Experience
Another Hanok is a part of LG’s ‘Another Life’ series, a collection of offline experience spaces that provide customers with unique opportunities to interact with LG’s lifestyle-enhancing products. Each of these spaces offers a welcoming atmosphere along with compelling displays and exhibits that promote sustainability and responsible technological innovation. Beginning in South Korea in 2022, the series has since expanded internationally with the addition of sites such as ‘Another Saigon’ in Vietnam.

LG views Another Hanok as a new, more-engaging kind of B2B showroom, where its European B2B clients can see first-hand the company’s strong commitment to achieving carbon neutrality. In the spirit of its Life’s Good philosophy, LG will continue to innovate and inspire, leveraging its technology leadership to help usher in a new era of sustainability.

      * Average yearly photovoltaic (PV) power generation at Another Hanok is 22,030 kWh while average monthly power consumption is 16,870kWh. Actual power generation and power usage may vary.

Milan Design Week, the world’s largest and most well-known design and furniture fair, is a mecca for the aesthetically-inclined. At this year’s event, the biennially-held EuroCucina exhibition put the spotlight on the latest trends in kitchen appliances and furnishings, with many of the industry’s major players taking part. A regular at Milan Design Week, LG delivered a stunning showcase of premium built-in kitchen appliances at a booth designed by GamFratesi, the acclaimed architecture and design studio co-founded by Italian Enrico Fratesi and Denmark’s Stine Gam.
To highlight both the ultra-premium Signature Kitchen Suite and LG’s built-in appliance lineups, the diverse range of built-in products on display clearly reflected the company’s dedication to promoting an inspired culinary lifestyle centered around the joy of sharing and savoring quality food.

“One particularly memorable episode during our collaboration with LG was the differentiation strategy for Signature Kitchen Suite and LG built-in appliances,” said GamFratesi. “This differentiation strategy was well reflected in the booth design.”

The coming together of Signature Kitchen Suite’s True to Food philosophy – founded on the importance of preserving the original flavors of fresh ingredients – and GamFratesi’s design ethos revealed a new vision for kitchen design. LG’s emphasis on quality natural ingredients was echoed by the natural materials and design elements incorporated into the exhibition booth itself, which also reflected the impact of environment and culture on different cuisine traditions. GamFratesi’s subtle use of wood and stone accentuated the beauty of the natural world while simultaneously drawing attention to the connection we form with the planet when cooking and consuming real food.

“The key points to pay attention to are the design of each island and the materials used,” noted GamFratesi. “Each island represents an independent piece of furniture that reflects our design aesthetic.”

Within the booth’s Signature Kitchen Suite zones, GamFratesi complemented the built-in brand’s gorgeous kitchen appliances with natural materials and finishings. Each display kitchen represented a seamless harmony of appliances, cabinetry, counters and décor, highlighting the transformative power of design to create special sanctuaries that celebrate authentic cooking and nature’s beauty.

Evocative, entertaining, yet entirely elegant, the Signature Kitchen Suite wine cellar zone made a lasting impression on visitors to LG’s booth. Here, GamFratesi drew inspiration from the wine-maturation process to craft a calm, almost-meditative space with a ‘cave-like’ sense of depth and a rich, atmospheric mood.

Although the synergy between LG’s built-in appliances and GamFratesi’s kitchen designs is undeniable, the process of smoothly integrating the two for the Milan Design Week showcase was not without challenges. However, through the thoughtful and purposeful placement of appliances with distinct functionalities, and via the introduction of LG’s panel-ready concept, the two innovative companies achieved the ultimate union of form and function. The results, as one can see from the images, speak for themselves.
Through the unprecedented fusion of design, technology and space, the compelling collaboration between LG and GamFratesi presented a new kind of value and a refined kitchen lifestyle. As demonstrated at Milan Design Week, and at other major exhibitions around the world, LG is committed to partnering with like-minded innovators who share its passion for pushing boundaries and elevating everyday life.

Underpinning the enduring brand value of LG SIGNATURE lies the profound belief that Art Inspires Technology, Technology Completes Art. Merging technological excellence with artistic brilliance, LG SIGNATURE proudly sponsored a performance of timeless classic ‘Swan Lake’ choreographed by Angelin Preljocaj, an esteemed master of ballet. This modern interpretation took place at LG Arts Center SEOUL, South Korea, from June 22 to 25, where it captivated audiences while perfectly embodying the brand’s commitment to extraordinary experiences.

Running alongside the performance was the Swan Lake-themed LG SIGNATURE OLED M exhibition, which used a moon-shaped mirror to reflect light onto the lake created below the TV to highlight its ‘wireless’ design. A Zero Connect Box, which wirelessly transmits video and audio signals to LG’s cinematic screen, was also presented to visitors on top of an elegant swan sculpture, which added a touch of class to the space.

The LG SIGNATURE Hall was bustling with people eager to witness the highly anticipated performance. And as they waited, they were able to enjoy an exhibition of advanced technology as well as photo zones highlighting the OLED TV’s sleek wireless transmission of video and audio that no one thought was even possible. The mesmerizing Swan Lake motifs added another dimension to the zone, with attendees saying it felt more like the performance’s opening act.

Esteemed figures from the Korea’s ballet, culture and arts scenes – including Kang Sue-jin, artistic director of the Korean National Ballet, and Cha Jun-hwan, a world-class figure skater – immersed themselves in the perfect blend of innovation and artistic brilliance. “The space let me directly experience the ultimate harmony of art and technology LG SIGNATURE aims to convey,” remarked Kang. Cha Jun-hwan had only good things to say about the exhibition, especially about the TV’s innovative design, stating, “I was delighted to witness such an innovative design that boldly departs from the conventional.”

The opportunity to experience a remarkable ballet performance and the world’s first wireless OLED TV in one place sparked a wave of excitement among diverse audiences. Influential figures from ballet, art and culture were there to see it for themselves, like ballerina Lee Joo-ri, actress Kim Joo-ri, ballerina Kim Nam-ji, actor Lee Jae-joon and model Kim Nam-yoon, as well as luxury lifestyle influencers including Kim Young-shin, Kim Bo-kyung and Jung Jae-ho.

Demonstrating the brand’s unwavering commitment to the intrinsic connection between art and technology, the curtain was drawn on the remarkable reinterpretation of the iconic Swan Lake ballet with LG SIGNATURE as its main sponsor. While the show may have come to an end, the captivating exhibition will continue to welcome a broader audience of TV lovers until September. By bridging the worlds of technology and artistic expression, LG SIGNATURE continues to redefine the essence of living a life inspired by art.
