Has anyone noticed a strange behaviour with using an LG soundbar with an LG TV using ARC? When I first had the TV, it worked a treat. When I started the TV, it would wake up the soundbar and all was good. However after one of the software updates, the soundbar fails to start automatically. However, if I manually start it, the TV is happy using it as the audio channel. Also If I turn the TV off just after it has started then turn it back on, all of a sudden the soundbar kicks into life. Any idea what might be going on?
Has no one else experienced this issue?

Hello,
I have recently purchased an LG C2 Oled TV which I connected with my Samsung HW-Q800B 5.1 soundbar via eArc HDMI. When I select "Passthrough" as a Digital Sound Output on LG TV sound advanced settings, there is an obvious sound response delay around 3 seconds when I pause and unpause the movie on Netflix or Prime video streaming apps on LG TV. For example, when I start the movie, the video starts and sound starts 2-3 secs later. When I pause the movie, the sound continues for 2-3 secs after the video has been stopped. There is no any lip sync issue, just this response delay of the sound from the soundbar. This happens only on LG TV Apps. If I connect to an external HDMI device such as AMAZON Fire Stick 4K, there is no such sound delay issue neither on Netflix neither on Prime Video.
Thus, the problem seems to be on LG TV apps.
If I change the Digital Sound Output to "Auto" instead of "Passthrough" the issue is gone but sound quality is not as good as with Passthrough selected. So I do not want this to be my option.
I would appreciate if someone could come with a solution on this.

CBS Catchup, Discovery+, POP player, and UKTV Play always need updating. Even seconds after you just updated them. It started doing this a few days ago.
Who can I contact to get this fixed?
Since the "apps need updating" notification now always appears when I switch the TV on, I now have no way of telling if anything really does need updating other than going into the LG content store, clicking Apps, clicking My Apps, and visually checking.

Hey guys,
While I have Sonos Beam gen2 connected to my LG 65C12LA via HDMI (eARC) I can’t select any other output device e.g. bluetooth headphones. I can technically select it in TV menu for like 5 seconds, and then output switched back to HDMI (eARC). Is it a bug or feature?
Thanks in advance!

I output the sound from my LG 75UJ657A to external speakers through a bluetooth connection, but it doesn't automatically connect to the bluetooth device when I turn the TV on. Whenever I cycle the TV off and, then, back on, the TV asks if I want to connect to the bluetooth device, and I have to select "yes" with the remote. My smart phone automatically connects to all the bluetooth devices I've set it up with. When I start my car, my phone connects automatically to the car stereo/phone system, and it does the same with other bluetooth speakers I have. This is what I want my TV to do.
How do I get my LG 75UJ657A to automatically connect to the bluetooth device I've set up with it?

Question

I am trying to connect my LG C1 to my wired Sennheiser RF 175 speakers. My tv is also connected to a Sonos Beam soundbar via EARC. Having selected Wired headphones on the Sound out menu, the headphones come on for about 3 seconds and then both the TV and Sound out menu flick back to HDMI. I have tried using two further wired headphones and also some Bluetooth headphones but all show the same result. The only way I can get the headphones to stay on is if I take the HDMI lead out of the tv, thereby disconnecting the soundbar. I didn't have this problem with my previous Panasonic TV because as soon as I switched on the headphones they came to life together with the TV. I can't see any LG menu item that I am missing. I have also logged the issue with LG - no reply yet. Any ideas please?
