copy-and-paste WiFi password?

Question

Posted

OLED65C1AUB is my first OLED and first UHD TV.

Is there a way to copy-and-paste my (very long) WiFi password?  (I'm imagining connecting a USB with the password in a text file.  I'd rather not use WPS.  The TV is connected via Ethernet, but I also want my phone to connect.

So many questions but I start with this probably futile one.

It is unprofessional on part of LG TV that they do not resolve the basic issue of adding app gCmob in their app store.
My 50UT80506LA LG WebOs TV does not support my office security camera system via wifi to TV.  We need (gCmob app) in list of app.
I can't connect my office camera via Wi-Fi to LG-TV. No body in LG TV technical team is proactive in resolving the issue of customer. They are more happy to befool the customers, rather than looking for technical solution through wider thinking.
Please talk to you top management and make a visit to our office to understand the customers plight..

On my LG 'smart' TV now for some reason I can now only watch the LG channels but not the fiber-optic programming on wi-fi . The HDMI 1 feed I normally use shows 'dark' on the Dashboard even though I can get the green checkmark on it. How do I reconnect it? The Dashboard shows my feed as ethernet/cable; which is wrong but efforts to correct it have failed so far.

I'm urgently looking for a way to watch video files that are accessible via different SMB-shares - I was able to do that with external devices like WD-TV-HD Media Player or a raspberry pie - and I thought that I will not need that any more with my new LG OLED - I can webOS or which APP I need to install on the TV to do that
I was expecting to see accessible SMB shares - where I can enter or even store user/pw -  besides the Sticks/HDDs attached to the USB port
In the Internet I just found solutions by hacking / manipulating webOS - I cannot believe that this is the correct/only way to achieve that...

      TIA,
         Chi

      Dear Team,
I have buy a TV ie 43QNED8BA6A on 28 Sep 2025. I update the TV with latest WebOS.
Issue which I have faced till date is that when I connect with Mobile Hotspot , wifi/password will not connect automatically. After every power off, I have to connect the same wifi and re-enter password again.
      Kindly provide me a solution.

      Hi,
I recently bought an LG UK6500PLA TV (my first LG), but I have a difficult time streaming content (Wifi connected), e.g. Netflix series is streaming in low resolution.  The router is only 10 feet away from TV (but ethernet is not an option) and uses a 5GH frequency range.
I have tried making a speed test at fast.com, for both the TV (through the Webbrowser) and for my laptop and iPhone. The speed test for TV showed 2.5 Mbps and my laptop and iPhone showed 110 Mbps. Can there really be such a big difference? I am starting to wonder if this might be a warranty issue?
Do any of you guys have experience with bad Wifi reception on your LG TV or have any suggestions on how to fix it?

      Br,
      Nick
