PreCentral: Fit a Mojo app to the entire Pre3 screen

HTML to add to remove black barDue to the resolution differences between the Pre3 and all other Pre phones, you may often see a black or flickering bar on the bottom of the Pre3's screen that appears where the notification dashboard would be, even if there are no dashboard icons shown. If you are a Pre3 owner and user of an app such as the twitter app Carbon for webOS or the homebrew Internalz Pro, you have probably noticed this before. While we are hoping for updates to some apps to fix this issue, some developers may no longer be supporting their apps and we may never see a fix. However, you can try to make the update yourself using the text editor within the homebrew file manager app Internalz Pro to see if the directoins below will fix the app (your milage may vary, as this is not guaranteed to work with all apps). Also note that the fix below only affects Mojo and hybrid apps, so this fix will not work on PDK apps (like Angry Birds).

  • Determine the App ID of the application you need to update. The easiest way to do this is to load up Prehware, search for the app, and find the App ID on the app's description page
  • Open up Internalz Pro and navigate to /media/cryptofs/apps/usr/palm/applications/[APP ID]
  • Find the index.html file, tap on it, and select "Open" to open up the text editor.
  • Towards the top of the file, find the first "html" tag
  • Directly after that, insert a new line and put this text in there:
  • link hidden, please login to view
from the top-left to reveal the Application dropdown menu and select "Save File".
  • Close the file

The next time you open that app, the black or flickering bar on the bottom should be gone. Note that if the app does receive an update in the future, but this fix was not included, you may need to add this back in.

Good Morning, There is a recommended minimum distance between the TV and the viewer. I bought an LG OLED C155 last month and it is uncomfortable from a distance. It was my mistake. I bought it without worrying about visual comfort. Is it possible to reduce the screen's usable area to simulate a screen size TV of 48 inches or less, accepting the black borders that would be created? It would be something similar to a custom aspect ratio. The idea would be to be able to simulate a smaller screen size than the purchased equipment. other-bigger->65->55->48->other-less

I've seen an older thread on this topic but it doesn't look like anyone found a solution to disabling the screen saver, so I'll try a new one.
On virtually all my LG TV's (I have three OLED's and two LCD), the screen saver interferes with my music app (like Plex, Spotify or Amazon Music). I mainly use Plex for playback of my music which is stored on a central server (NAS) and from the app loaded on a Fire TV stick or cube. After about 20-30 minutes, the album art and other related music information (lyrics, song title, duration, etc) all goes black. If I run Plex (or Spotify) directly on the LG TV via the LG Content store app, the screen saver with fireworks always comes on in about 2 minutes.
I've tried all the different methods to disable the screen saver function including turning off the Timers, Auto Power Off,  HDD Storage, etc. I also tried opening the hidden menus by pressing the mute button 5 times but that menu didn't have anything relevant.
Interesting is that the screen saver doesn't come on when using Spotify on a Fire TV stick or if I playback music through a USB device. But i don't use those methods often, mainly Plex to access my music server where I have about 500 CD's stored in ALAC format.
Has anyone found a way to disable the screen saver function? I know the logic for having it (to prevent OLED burn in) but I'm not leaving the same image on for more than the song duration (about 3-5 minutes).  It's annoying to check the screen for the a music title or see who is on only to find a black screen looking back. Thanks for any help.

I have a crached screen on my 42" LG smart tv. I also have a another 42" none smart LG tv. My question is, can I replace the cracked screen of the smart LG screen with a none smart one since both screens are 42"

When will ITVX be available? Why isn't it available already? Is this another item that LG doesn't mention in its documentation (isn't that false advertising)?
Why aren't VPNs (or at least one) available? That's definitely false advertising. How is an ex-pat supposed to use an LG (stupid) TV? Can I have my purchase price back so that I can buy a real smart TV?
Why can't I download any app I want?
