    • Question: Prime Video app broken after 7/25/18 update

Like others here are mentioning, the Amazon Prime Video app has broken after the last update. All I get is a black screen on my OLED TV. Uninstalled and reinstalled, which worked for a few days but has since stopped. Uninstalled and reinstalled again, now working, but expecting to fail again when automatic update performed.

    • Is webOS Ready To Move Beyond TVs?

With today's announcement from LG on open sourcing webOS OSE, LG's Chief Technology officer said , “webOS has come a long way since then and is now a mature and stable platform ready to move beyond TVs.” So what does this actually mean? We know LG has put webOS on a smart fridge and projector, but could other appliances or possibly even phones be on the list? Maybe not directly for LG but what they probably want to see, is the usage of webOS in other technology and form factors with a common tie-back to LG. HP tried to do the same with the Open webOS Project that didn;t go anywhere and the domain is not coming up online today.  Open WebOS reborn as LuneOS for mobile devices which also saw little adoption.  With this latest release, does LG have the push to make it something HP could not? That's the real question and only time will tell. In teh end, it's all about users for an OS to survive even though there are plenty of nostalgic Palm and HP webOS fans keeping their fingers crossed for a webOS powered smart phone or tablet. Articles on today's release: https://www.slashgear.com/lg-webos-open-source-edition-kicks-off-global-trek-19523548/ https://www.theverge.com/2018/3/19/17138246/free-webos-open-source-download Check out the graphic where we see a tablet, media player, TV...and what is assumed to be a graphic for AI possibly....

    • Question: DirecTV RVU "This Location not Authorized" message on LG DirecTV Ready TV

I have a LG OLED65C6P TV which is a listed as a DirecTV 4k Ready TV. It currently has SW File Version 05.30.02 and the DirecTV Ready app version 2.2.14. My home network is wired for full Gigabit and I will used a wired connection over wireless whenever possible. I have DirecTV with a Genie Gen 2 (HR44-700).  The DirecTV app on the LG OLED65C6P was activated last February and everything was working without any problems until recently.  Everything is hooked up using DirecTV's "official" setup for RVU client viewing using DECAs where required. About 3 weeks ago, the TV started displaying the message "This location is not authorized" after attempting to connect to the Genie receiver.  The only thing that changed is that DirecTV updated my Genie with Software 0x80d.    It seems that I am not the only person experiencing this problem.  I was hoping that someone over here at LG's support community may be able provide some help. There are posts by people on the AT&T Community Forums on this issue.  Here is a link to that thread...

https://www.dbstalk.com/community/index.php?threads/0x80d-rvu-issues.225230/ Does LG need to update the DirecTV (RVU) app on my TV?  Do they need to update the LG webOS software or does the TV Firmware need an update? If so, how long will this take?  How do I get LG to do this?

    • Question: SCREEN SHARE/MIRROR BROKEN

Hi guys. I'm PRAYINGGGGGG someone will help. Heres my story: Model: LG WEB OS 65 inch UJ6300   I started having issues last week when I tried the mirroring options  when suddenly PANDORA and all other APPS I want could not be found in the LG content store. I have tried my HP laptop (brand new, gift for Christmas) with Miracast BUILT IN MY samsung tablet & my 2 samsung galaxy cell phones (S 8 + & s 8 Note) The HP laptop worked & conntected for maybe 5-8 minutes and then disconnected. Cannot get it back again. The tablet & pphones wont even connect  They find the TV to connect to but then the TV says "unable to connect with screenshare try again" I called LG & was on the phone twice for over 2 hours being walked through EVERYTHING, even had to reset my tv to factory settings. nothing helped. so they gave me a cerrtified LG techinician. He came and could not help. He downloaded some 3rd party APP and it worked for a few minutes. But the actual miracast did not work. HEY...we just got this tv not even a month ago. its 2018. Why the HELL are we downloading 3rd party apps to mirror a damn screen?! Nope. I called LG back but they said due to his notes (he tried to say it was all 4 of my devices and the tv was fine) they are deeming the TV fine. WTF!!!??   I dont want a new tv i just want a way to be able to screen any device. WITHOUT AN APP. Fuck for that Ill buy a regular non smart TV & invest 30 bucks in CHromecast!!! Am I wrong?!   LG PLEASE address this issue. This should not be happening in friggan 2018!!!!   I attached photos of the error i received when trying to connect

    • Question: Issue with single colors on top 4k with NanoCell TV 65sj9500 65sj8500

Dears, is it possible to fix  colors on these models  ?
Light blue and yellow are shown as set of alternating lines,  for example , orange is one line light yellow line and other is dark orange. light blue is :   Lines are visible from distance up to 1,5 meter and very annoying. Models of 7th and 6th series have clear colors showing   also guys from rating also pointed this issue , and they put image quality to 9,5 from 10 , less than to models of last year or model from Samsung http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/sj9500 Great TV to use as a PC monitor. The SJ9500 supports all the essential resolutions, including Chroma 4:4:4, but it's also one of the rare TVs to also support a [email protected] input. Combined with a very low input lag and low motion blur, it makes for a very suitable monitor. Some users, however, might find horizontally alternating stripes of the screen to be a little distracting.
