Frustrating Netflix connection

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help? Netflix has suddenly become inresponsive for the last month. Amazon Prime works great, so i know it isn't a problem with my internet connection. I've resorted to resetting the tv to its initial setting FOUR times. I've plugged and unplugged the router countless times (as suggested). It would enter netflix, but eventually go back to error tvq-st-120.

model: UF830T

Country: Philippines

Help, please?

@nina san miguel Can you go into yout TV settings to check your firmware version? The latest is 04.26.10 and MAY have fixes for web interfaces that may help Netflix.

See:

and if you do not have that, read how to download it, and put it on to a USB stick (NOT inside a folder on the stick), and install from it.

@nina san miguel As you appear to be on the latest firmware (04.26.10) already, it is NOT worth trying to install the same level again.

Your issue might be something called DNS (it is how the browsers and any internet connection get from your device, to a known site, e.g. Microsoft.com to the actual computer server IP address closest to your area). Sometimes the "default" settings do not work very well, as it may rely on your ISP or router.

So, if you go to your NETWORK settings in your TV, in the DNS part, try putting in 8.8.8.8 (that is the public Google DNS service IP address), and some TV users find this fixes some odd intermittent APP failings, where some work OK, and others have odd issues. Don't forget to select the "save" for the new setting, as some UI (User Interface) windows need this (depends on the TV model), sometimes it is near the bottom, so easy to miss, before you come out of the settings UI/APP.

I have a  LG OLED55C14LB WebOS TV in the same room as my xubuntu desktop computer and router.

I have installed Gnome Network Displays on the Linux PC and both machines are on the same 5G network.

When I connect the PC to the TV via WiFi the TV puts up a 'cancel' option and no option to connect. The Network display app only has an option to 'Return' which closes the connection.

If I do nothing and wait the connection times out and returns to the TV program. The TV is obviously waiting for permission to connect.

I cannot see any way to 'accept' the connection via the TV remote. Can anyone tell me how to accept the connection?
In addition, is it possible to have the TV remember the WiFi password? Passwords are complex nowadays and it is a pain to keep having to input it. This make casting your desktop a chore.

      Hi,
I have my LG 4K Smart TV -Model : 43UJ632T.
I could not able to use the Wireless Keyboard ( Logitech K230) with Builtin Apps like Youtube, Amazon Prime or in Netflix to search. I could able to use only thru Magic Remote.
But the same Keyboard is working fine in Google Movies & SunNXT apps.
Could you please help me in fixing the same.
      Thanks,
      Sriram.

      Hi,
My problem is that my Netflix app on my LG tv (OLED65B13LA) keeps selecting the leftmost button, it's impossible to scroll the cursor to the right to select another button. I tried resetting the tv to factory defaults - after installing Netflix again the issue is exactly the same.
I also tried disconnecting the tv from power for a few minutes. Plus I contacted Netflix, but they said I need to contact TV manufacturer before they log a possible bug in the app :/.
My Amazon Prime app works perfectly fine on the same tv.
      Any thoughts?

      Hi,
      New user on here.
I bought this new TV last week and it is honestly driving me bananas.
When I click "Home" after using an App, etc, it brings me to the WebOS interface but then automatically selects the last used device (e.g. Fire stick, LG Channels, etc) despite me not wanting it to.
Is it possible to disable this, i.e. "Home" brings me to WebOS and stays there? I'm sure its a setting etc which I'm missing.
Device is LG UQ91 43 inch 4K Smart UHD TV, pretty sure its all up to date.
      Thanks in advance.

I have problems with one of my WebOS TVs which looks like a speed problem, but when I do a speed check on my iPhone from just a few feet away the connection speed looks fine.  Thanks,  Bob
