Purchased LG UN 73 UHD model.

Able to pair bluetooth peripheral to LG TV.  LG TV won't reconnect bluetooth peripheral automatically. The user needs to click bluetooth peripheral on LG TV.

This is basic features, all smartphone are supposed auto connect bluetooth peripheral.

Contacted LG TV customer support, they does not have information for my issues

@Vijay Kumbhani You have not posted what the "peripheral" actually is. If it is a soundbar, please check that it has the latest firmware. If it is an LG soundbar, of the type mentioned in the LG article below, you might need to update its firmware, as this adds better security to the pairing process anyway, and MIGHT fix the issue if it is one of those.

Actually, I have seen a post that says that ONLY LG sound-bars will autoconnect!! Check this anyway:

If not,go to the manufacturers support site for the peripheral in question, and check it has the latest firmware.  I am assuming that your LG TV has the latest WebOS and firmware?

Hi

Sorry for not updating peripheral. i am using Sony 4.1 Bluetooth sound system.  that is wrong if LG tv support auto connect for LG sound bar. this is non ethical.

Checked also latest update, it is already in Web OS latest firmware.  BTW  I also factory reset Tv. it won't help

@Vijay Kumbhani Is that Sony device the Sony SA-D40 4.1 Channel Multimedia Speaker System? If so, it shows it connecting to the TV via the Headphone socket on the TV to the Sony, via the supplied Stereo Mini-Plug lead (to the input socket above the power socket).  On some LG (and other) TV models, you have to go to the sound settings, and tell the TV to ONLY use the headphone out jack, but on others it is automatic (i.e. there is a contact inside the jack that detects that a "device" (phones or an amp) is connected, do disables the internal TV speakers).

Yes, this is sony 4.1 sound system. LG UN 73 tv is not supported RCA and 3.5 headphone jack.

It is supported only HDMI ARC and Optic Audio.

There is one solution, I need buy converter digital audio to analog ( HDMI ARC/Optical to RCA/3.5 headphone jack)

It would be great if LG will support from SW side.

World’s First Android Based Concurrent Multi-User Framework Redefines
In-Vehicle Experience With Single OS Solution

SEOUL, April 29, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG), a mobility sector technology leader, and MediaTek, a global semiconductor company, are showcasing their Android-based Concurrent Multi-User (CMU) framework applied to In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems at the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto Shanghai 2025), one of Asia’s largest and most influential automotive exhibitions, from April 23 to May 2.
The CMU framework is the first of its kind to be implemented on Google’s Android* Automotive OS (AAOS). This groundbreaking solution enables passengers to simultaneously use multiple displays on a single Android OS, addressing the growing need for enhanced in-vehicle content consumption as displays become larger and more diverse in the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) era.
The innovative framework provides vehicle occupants with a seamless multi-device Android experience within a unified system. Drivers can use the navigation system while the front-seat passenger streams videos and the rear-seat passengers play games – all simultaneously and independently, in accordance with safety regulations.
Previously, typical vehicle setups with a Center Information Display (CID) and two Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) displays required multiple Android Virtual Machines (VMs). The CMU technology streamlines this setup by running everything on a single Android OS, reducing CPU, memory and storage requirements while minimizing system load.
The CMU framework transforms in-vehicle experiences by creating personalized digital spaces for passengers. Each user can log into their own display, connect Bluetooth headphones or gaming controllers, manage privacy settings and can even share movies, gaming and audio across multiple displays. Parents can set parental controls to ensure a safe and age-appropriate experience for children.
Automotive OEMs benefit as well, as the CMU framework’s efficient architecture supports sophisticated user experiences even on lower-spec CPUs, reducing costs and resource demands.
The CMU framework was introduced as a key feature of AAOS15. Beyond AAOS’s core functions, LG offers exclusive features such as independent Bluetooth headset support, Text-To-Speech, parental controls and easy mirroring using gestures. LG leverages its decades of expertise in optimizing the performance of Android mobile devices, which it gained while operating a mobile business.
In August 2024, LG and MediaTek announced the integration of MediaTek’s latest automotive system-on-chip into the CMU framework, adding more processing power to streamline development and boost efficiency. To highlight its potential ahead of commercialization, the companies are jointly presenting an IVI solution consisting of one CID and two RSE displays.
“By demonstrating the live CMU framework capability on the MediaTek Dimensity Auto Cockpit MT2718, we are highlighting the future of in-vehicle experiences,” said Mike Chang, Corporate Vice President at MediaTek. “These solutions meet automotive-grade reliability standards, enabling automotive OEMs to create new designs in confidence.”
“Our commitment to revolutionizing in-vehicle experiences through innovative technologies like the CMU framework is another major step toward realizing our mobility vision,” said Eun Seok-hyun, president of the LG Vehicle Solution Company. “Looking ahead, we will continue to expand our work with industry leaders like MediaTek to develop more integrated, intelligent solutions, transforming vehicles into true living spaces on wheels with unprecedented connectivity, entertainment and personalization.”

Trying to programme my magic remote to control an Amlogic OTT, however keep getting a ‘temporary issue occurred’ when I try. I’ve been trying for over a week now, so this temporary issue isn’t so temporary!

      Hi

I've been trying many different ways to connect to my TV. I have followed every guide I can find and nothing is working.

Basically, the webOS Desktop Dev Manager thinks my passphrase is wrong. My passphrase is NOT wrong. I have also tried with the CLI tools but nothing works. I have NO idea what I can try further. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Hello Team,
My newly purchased 75-Inch Class QNED 4K LED QNED85T series TV with webOS 24 has a setup box and soundbar connected via HDMI. It automatically returns to HDMI input when I move between home and any app (like YouTube, Prime, etc.). It appears to automatically detect and switch to the HDMI input always. The soundbar attached to the HDMI was disconnected if I turned off Simplink (HDMI-CEC). There doesn't seem to be a way to disable auto sensing option. It appears that LG TVs lack a function or problem.
I have a Hisense TV with the same setup, and it functions perfectly. I have no trouble switching between apps and controlling devices connected via HDMI.

New LG 55" C4,  Magic Remote STB setup does not provide for Charter/Spectrum Arius STB model DCX3220? This is a current model STB and previous LG models did provide MR setup for this model.
