SmartShare primitive interface

TyneBridges

Question

I'm sharing photos from a Windows PC to my TV (8600PLA) and am able to see the folders and contents on the TV screen. However, I'm astonished by how primitive the interface seems to be - akin to PC apps maybe 20 years ago. There seems to be no way to simply select a folder and then view the images with in it. No "Select all" - really? It's not unusual for my folders to contain 100 or more images. Am I really expected to select the folder, select VIEW and then tick each image individually, before then going down to press the PLAY button? What if I have guests to whom I want to show the photos - are they supposed to wait while I go through this? This is so laborious that it will probably mean I just don't use the facility.

If there is a "Select all" option I would be grateful for help finding it. The link on the web site to instructions didn't work and the page https://eguide.lgappstv.com/manual/gb/12005.html (found through a Google search) didn't mention it.

Thanks.

@TyneBridges As you are using a Windows PC, you might want to consider getting the latest Feature  Update called 20H2 (it is the one following on from Feature Update "2004" that was supposed tot be 2020 Month 04,  but that was late).  I hear good reports that it is a very good update, and also makes the "Project Screen" function work well for many smart TV's, including most LG models that are network connected. You can get to this easily by pressing the WIN + P keys together.

That way you can control the slide-show and other content from the PC/Laptop side, and use better "apps" or real 32-BIT EXE programs to display stuff better.

Thanks. I wasn't sure whether this was a TV or a Windows update but I see it's available in my Windows updates "optional" list, so I'll give it a try.

After viewing photos/videos on a flashdrive plugged into the USB of an LG TV and using SmartShare to view... and then removing the USB and then no longer having access to the TV... I noticed on the flashdrive a new folder called "LG TV" and within what appears to be files that may have been the thumbnails displayed on the TV. My question is... do those thumbnails also remain on the TV as "recently viewed" history even without the USB plugged in? The LG Smart TV online user guide refers to "Recent" ("To view a list of recently viewed or added content, select Recent). Would thumbnails be there without the source flashdrive?

      Hello friends.
I just bought an LG V30. Then I downloaded the game Idle Army Base on CHPlay to play.
When the installation is complete, everything. During game play, sometimes I see the interface blinking on the screen.
I installed the image normally, but still got the error.
After much time searching, I deleted and downloaded the
link hidden, please login to view version on TechSuspect to use
Everything went very well. So I share with everyone..

I have the 55ec930t in Australia with the latest firmware. When I access my synology NAS via smartshare I go to my videos folder and I can only see the first 1000 files in the folder and it won't load the rest or let me somehow go to the next lot of 1000 etc. is this a bug and could the capability to load all files in any folder no matter what the number of files is be added please in the next firmware update.
I haven't checked this with a photos folder yet.
      DJ.

As of a few days ago, my OLED65B7A started showing strange pixelation on the WebOS UI. My Directv that is plugged into the HDMI port shows just fine but using the WebOS UI to scroll through apps or look at the settings, or even inside apps like Netflix or Prime, etc., the strange pixelation occurs (once a Netflix/Prime show starts, it's fine). It's as if the front interface layer or something is broken but not the main viewing screen/area?
Does anyone know what is going on? I've reset the TV to initial settings and ran the Pixel Refresher.
      Pictures attached.
