Sound goes off fleetingly every few minutes LG TV OLED65B8PTA

Question

Posted

In the last few days my LG TV OLED65B8PTA suddenly drops the volume significantly fleetingly every few minutes.

Am also hoping this isn't the start of the end of this massive investment I made a couple of years ago !!!

@Vikram Sud Is the issue with the internal TV speaker, or with an external AV amp (AV Receiver) or sound-bar?

Does it do this on all channels, or one particular channel?  When it happens, do you have to do anything, or does it return to normal volume on its own?

Do you have any other devices attached to the TV via HDMI or SCART/PHONO/RCA leads, or any USB devices? If so try removing them if not in use.

Do you have any Home Automation active (such as Amazon Echo, or Alexa, Google Home etc.), that might be able to control the TV in any way?

how can I fix lg soundbar model sn6y volume automatically going down after exactly 30 minutes if resetting, unhooking volume down button, drilling vent holes near motherboard, and running a cooling fan did not fix the problem.

The sound and picture are out of sync when screen mirroring from my iPhone 16 Pro to my LGQNED70A6A TV, using the internal speaker. I have tried all the recommended tips in the settings to cure the issue with no success. However, when I isolate the TV from the mains supply for 60 seconds and restart it, the syncing issue is cured but degrades after a day or so. My iPhone software is up to date and there is no firmware upgrade available for the TV. My LinkSys router has a full fibre connection. The only connection into the TV is the mains supply. Any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My webos tv (approx 10 yrs old) just went black. When I turn it on it flicks and I see the LG logo briefly and it goes off.

The red indicator light flashes a few times and turns off.

I’ve tried unplugging the TV for 10 min after holding the TV power button for 30 seconds. I’ve also unplugged all hdmi cables to no avail.

Hi, I have a feature request for the sound out setting. I often connect my Bluetooth headphones to the TV. We don't use the internal speaker of the TV, we use the optical sound out setting whenever I don't use Bluetooth. It would make our lives a lot easier if the TV can remember the last sound out setting before connecting to Bluetooth and default back to this setting when the Bluetooth device gets disconnected. At the moment, each time I disconnect the headphones I have to go back into settings and change the sound out setting from internal speaker to optical again.
      Thanks and regards

TV is a week old and the internal speaker has stopped working when in HDMI ARC + internal speaker sound output mode. The internal speaker itself works fine when in “internal speaker” sound output mode. I’ve checked all the settings that I can and can’t find anything that would correct this issue.
