I recently bought a 55UN7240PVG, I thought it would have Google assistant. Later, I found my TV doesn't have the latest WebOS update so the google assistant isn't available. I read on forums that I can get WebOS 5 by changing region by accessing a hidden menu with an IR remote, would this be possible with this model ?

LG50UK6950. The programme guide is slow to load, and has to re-load for each page. My previous LG tv (a 49UK.....) was the same.
Samsung, Panasonic, Toshiba and Sony are almost instantaneous.
Is this a hardware problem, eg lack of memory, or software - in which case is it ever going to be fixed?

Hopefully more people will see this solution to an old problem if I start this new thread, rather than just replying and getting tacked on to another thread where many are seeking a solution.
The problem of " Wired Lan cable disconnected- Wired cable connected" is a simple fix.
First go to settings scroll down to General-scroll down to Home/Store mode and change to Store Mode. Then when Store Mode screen displays go again to settings and again to General scroll all the way down till you reach "Store Mode Settings" you will then see an option to "Turn Off Notifications" turn it off exit and turn TV back to "Home" and no more annoying messages in the upper corner of your TV.
I am assuming this action will also turn off notifications for updates to apps etc. but it is an easy enough thing to check them once in awhile for any possible updates.
Initiating this fix is a blessing as far as I am concerned as I was going to dump my LG and buy another brand saved money and sanity. Hope my post helps some of you!

Hi, I purchased my SMART TV model 43LF6300 in the year 2016 and current Firmware Version 04.06.40. Every one India using their favorite app like Disney Hotstar+, Zee5, Aaha and many more apps but those are not available on my TV which is annoying.. I spent Rs. 54000 to buy LG Smart TV but all the latest apps are not available. Please release the latest Web OS for these models at least Beta version unless the TVs like this will be useless and no one trust LG products. Thanks in advance and hope to receive latest Web OS soon.
