Hi All,
I recently bought a LG Smart TV with WebOS (42LB6500) and would like to connect to my external hard disk connected over network. Here is how my home network and devices are setup.
I have a high speed broadband that comes to my WiFi router (D-Link DSL 2750U) with USB support for External HDD. I have connected my Seagate Ex.HDD to this router and I am able to access the drive over WiFi on my smartphone and computer using the network path \\192.168.1.1\... Once connected I am able to use it similar to any mount location, i.e., read/write files, play media, etc., I want to do similarly with my TV, I would like to use this connected Ex. HDD as any other location and would like to achieve following two things at the least without any additional hardware Play media files on this HDD (very very important) Use the HDD as recording device for timeshift/live pause feature (important)
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Rukmaj

I am currently viewing my old camcorder tapes on my 2019 smart TV via hdmi.
Does anyone know if its possible to record this to a usb stick using time machine function? Or does it only record tv programme signals?

Hello
After plugging in a usb hard drive, I discovered that I can only watch a programme while recording another from "Antenae" recording.
How do I switch back to "TV" recording please.

My friends back in India are able to download and watch Hotstar but I am not able to find the app on the Content Store. I believe I had updated the system to the latest. What am I missing?

Dear all,
I really need to verify my understanding on how the whole Record / Play and Live TV works.
I own a brand new OLED 65GX6LA TV of which I am very satisfied with picture quality and all but...
I have noticed that when I am watching a program that I am recording and use Time machine to go back to some past bits, when the record has finished I am kicked out of my viewing and I need to go back to the list of recordings to start again and then I need to look for the place where I was. Additionally I can't record a program from the satellite tuner and watch from the terrestrial Tuner (or viceversa) even though they are separate tuners.
To me it looks that the current Record / Play and Pause Live TV functionality has been implemented using a single memory buffer which doesn't allow any of the above.
Is my assumption correct or is there anything that I haven't done in my set up that makes it so limiting?
Many thanks, Nic.
