Sorry but your question makes NO SENSE and is impossible to answer.

The REMOTE control DOES NOT USE WIFI OR ETHERNET, it uses RF direct from the remote to the TV.

So you were able to ask the TV, via the remote control, to download something from the internet, remember simply making the request DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY NETWORK INTERACTION. However the TV now needs a network connection in order to get the APP from the Internet.

Now that connection can be WiFi or Ethernet.

Are you sure that the TV uses Blue tooth to connect to its remote control, it is more usual to use Infra Red, which your phone probably does not have.

You have to construct your questions in a more concise manner, otherwise anyone trying to help you is simply GUESSING at what you are talking about.

For instance you use the phrase "one TV's button" DUH?

I have left my remote contol at home.

I have only one TV button interface. You make to change program channel, Up/Down volume and Power off.

You cannot launch applications using one button interface.

Add the option to turn off mouse acceleration. I think I would fins it much easier to aim the pointer if I could disable it. I always disable it on computers. You can just add it next to the pointer speed setting under General > System > Additional Settings > Pointer Options

Two other settings I think would make sense to have would be a setting to disable the shake-remote-to-show-pointer feature. Although I like it I can sometimes find it annoying, so why not let the users decide. I always hate it when there aren't settings for things like these.
The other setting would be to disable the pointer completely as many users have written that they want to disable it.

I've had Universal Control via the smart remote sucessfully controlling the audio (volume) for my LG OLED 48C1LB tv via my Sherwood RD-6118R amp for a while now; But following a power cut, the remote no longer controls the amp/tv volume?
The audio IS still being played through the amp using the optical OUT/IN but I have no control of the volume
I've removed and re-initialised the settings for this amp in Universal Control Settings but following the "success" message, the remote does not control the volume on the amp/tv.
      What am I missing?

      Hi there,

I have an LG smart TV OLED65G36LA (LG OS v03.20.17, webOS TV version 8.20.0-710) , and the Prime Video App was no longer able to update (from Dec 2025) and therefore could no longer be used.
I have tried uninstalling the app and re-installing, and that was unable to work, so then applied a full reset on the LG TV and so had to reinstall all of my other apps (Apple TV, Netflix, etc etc) which all successfully downloaded so confirmed network connections and setup are all confirmed working.
When I try to download the Prime Video app, it remains stuck on the download screen and is unable to update.
      Thanks

Last week a LG service person visited our home. After resetting our new LG TV, he went to his van and returned with a large remote controller. We asked what it was for and he told us it was to access settings that the standard controllers could not do. But would not tell us what it did.
Do you know what it can do?
