LG OLED55B6 - HELP!! - 3 Spinning Balls!! - TV won't load!

Recommended Posts

Need some help with my 55B6.....can't get the firmware to update......I have 3 spinning dots!!

Here is what has happened.....
- When watching I was getting the screensaver fireworks for no reason
- As done in previous situations, I triggered "reset to initial settings".
- the 3 colored spinning dots were triggered as if the reset had started, but no reset occurred.
- the 3 colored spinning dots would not go away.
- I downloaded the firmware to USB and tried to update using the manual USB update process per LG's online instructions.
- When I turn on the TV, with USB inserted, I still get the 3 colored spinning dots -- NOTHING HAPPENS!

I have tried 2 different USB drives and formatted both to FAT32, no success.  Can't get past the 3 spinning dots!

Don't know where to go with next step!!

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Ken

Hi Ken,

Does the TV still work if you remove the USB drive?

Hi George

Nothing will work.  All I have are the 3 spinning dots.  I have also tried unplugging the TV for 30 minutes and restarting.  No success.  It seems as if the software is damaged.  I get the same result with or without the USB connected.

Hi, When we try to play HLS stream in production app in LG tv (some models LG 49UH652V , LG UK6700PVD) it enters into infinite buffering state. In debug mode using webOSIDE could see `loadedmetadata` event is not getting triggered by video-player. It works randomly says 1 in 10 attempts able to play the content. I tried with youtube and other apps as well, looks like all the LIVE streams are entering into infinite buffering state. Can you please advice why live streams (HLS)

    • Ridiculous "fireworks" showing on top off apps like Spotify

When are we finally getting the option to turn off the ridiculous "fireworks" screensaver? I didn't spend thousands on a new TV to watch this screen every 2 minutes, and especially not when I am playing Spotify songs and can't see what songs are up next or even follow lyrics! It's one thing to build features to prevent build-in, but another if they make using the TV properly a problem. Give us the ability to choose for ourselves if we want this protection or not, and don't force our hands p

We tried a Factory Reset which did not bring any of them back.  Anyone know if they are retrievable or gone forever?.   I know most  are just shortc
