LG subtitles always on when playing PVR DLNA

PaulR

Question

I am currently using my LG Webos TV (LG28MT49S) to play recorded as live TV from a Panasonic BWT700 using the inbuilt DLNA server.

All recordings appear in the Video & Pictures tab as expected however despite having turned subtitles off in every menu I can find I still see subtitles when I play any recording. There does not even appear to be any way of switching them off during playback. The subtitle button has no effect.

How can I disable subtitles when playing my PVR recordings?

Note : When I play the same recordings on my laptop or other LG television the subtitles do not appear.

Paul

      Hello,
I got a 55UJ6519-ZA and wanted to install the Discoveryplus app on it, but it is not available in the content store.
I found that version webOS 4.0 (or higher) is required for Discoveryplus, but my TV is running version 3.9.0-62907

Any chance the 55UJ6519-ZA will get an webOS-update to 4.0?

JioCinema has a good collection of movies and shows , it would be cool if we could atleast side load the app or it would be officially released .

I have an LG TV using the magic remote.  I discovered that it allowed for either the LG tv or Sling TV to be able to be set as an input so I got sling tv.  I am now wondering if there is a way to set that when you power on the tv, it will automatically go to the sling tv input (or app)?

      Thanks
