Hey everyone,

I'm new here, so first of all, hello I'm delos.

I own two LG OLED55G19 TVs, one at home and one elsewhere. At home, I have a QNAP NAS (TS451) with DLNA functionality. Accessing it at home works great.

The "Home" and "External" networks are connected via VPN. Thus, both networks have different network addresses.

Now I want to access the home network from the external network with the LG via VPN in order to integrate the DLNA server. The LG doesn't "see" the external server because it's not in the same network. However, I wonder why you can't just enter the IP address of the server in the LG.

Does anyone have a solution?

Many greetings
delos

Hey Delos, Your LG TV isn’t detecting the DLNA server because DLNA relies on local network discovery (UPnP), which doesn’t work across subnets, even with a VPN. To fix this, you can try bridging your VPN networks to share the same subnet. If that sounds tricky, consider using a media server like Plex or Emby on your QNAP NAS—they’re perfect for streaming across networks and have LG TV apps. Ive been using purevpn with split tunneling or dedicated IPs, making remote access smooth for me. plus they are having some black friday deals as well... https://www.purevpn.com/vpn-deals

Add the option to turn off mouse acceleration. I think I would fins it much easier to aim the pointer if I could disable it. I always disable it on computers. You can just add it next to the pointer speed setting under General > System > Additional Settings > Pointer Options

Two other settings I think would make sense to have would be a setting to disable the shake-remote-to-show-pointer feature. Although I like it I can sometimes find it annoying, so why not let the users decide. I always hate it when there aren't settings for things like these.
The other setting would be to disable the pointer completely as many users have written that they want to disable it.

Last week a LG service person visited our home. After resetting our new LG TV, he went to his van and returned with a large remote controller. We asked what it was for and he told us it was to access settings that the standard controllers could not do. But would not tell us what it did.
Do you know what it can do?

I'm told that OneFootball has an app that's available on LG WebOS. Can someone tell me how to find it? I went to 'LG Channels' and did a search, but that search seems to be for programs, not channels. I went to the Sports category and didn't find it either. Thanks.
