Question

Posted

LG Team,

Recently brought the LG 49 " 4K TV. But looks like made a big mistake brought the fully smart TV with LG.  Many apps not available like Jio/Hot star apps into the smart . SO FINALLY LG is not a smart TV it's like ordinary TV. Can you confirm when these apps will be available in LG webstore to install in devices

No we cannot tell you when the apps will be available as this is a user-to-user forum and not an official LG board.  So as such we do not have knowledge of what individual vendors are doing in the way of producing  apps for the webOS platform.  If you want an app for a service that is currently unsupported yes let the forum know so other users can gauge if it would be useful to them, but you would need to get in direct contact with the service provider to fully aware that there is a real desire for webOS support.

It's a smart tv. But most of the smart tv have the  hotstar and jio apps .. in that preinstalled apps like yup and other .. no one like it

Hi,

Sadly at this point in time as the apps you wish for are not available from the content providers on LG's webOS platform then it is not the TV for you.  Something running Android may be a better bet for you.

Agree, this is a smart TV. But the competitor   Samsung has many more apps compared to LG. There is no commitment from LG about these apps like Spectrum, Hotstar and many more. This is very as a consumer we are feeling that LG is not a smart TV.

Immediately following the major LG webOS firmware upgrade last week, our OLED65G2PSA is damaged. A white line appears top to bottom of screen in from the left hand side & the tv either fails to turn on, or shuts itself down shortly after. Has anyone else had this issue & if so, has any update on a solution. (I'm waiting for LG to get it sorted. Waiting ...)

In fact, Spotify doesn't offer its service to LG webOS Smartwatch now. If you want to listen to Spotify songs on LG webOS Smartwatch, you'd need a
link hidden, please login to view. With Tunelf Spotibeat Music Converter, you can and then transfer them to LG webOS Smartwatch for playing without limits.

webOS updated, I think to 2023, on my C2 a couple of days ago. Since then the News option on the Sky News app no longer works, instead timing out. The Weather and Climate options still work, though.
I have deleted and reloaded the Sky News app, but the problem remains.
Does anybody have any suggestions of what I might try to get this working again, or is this something for LG, or Sky, to fix?
