Has been the development of ConnectSDK stopped?

Hi guys,

 

I've recently check the Connect SDK repository on Github and I've seen that last commit was in September 2015!

Does anyone know what happened since no one made any new commits since such a long time?

 

I appreciate you answer on this matter.

Hello,

 

there is no official answer from anyone! The unofficial word though is that the development has stopped.

Even some parts of the SDK are not working properly with WebOS 3.

      Hello all,
      I believe this problem started after i accidently started and immediately cancelled the download of a app. After this I am unable to install or update any app evem after resetting to initial settings.
      This should be the exact problem found here https://www.lgwebos.com/topic/1918-because-i-can however the solution seems to require a new update. Help?

      Sky News stopped working after the webOS update

      webOS updated, I think to 2023, on my C2 a couple of days ago. Since then the News option on the Sky News app no longer works, instead timing out. The Weather and Climate options still work, though.
      I have deleted and reloaded the Sky News app, but the problem remains.
      Does anybody have any suggestions of what I might try to get this working again, or is this something for LG, or Sky, to fix?

      ABC Iview has stopped working on my LG smart TVs.

      It starts ok but when I select a program it just sits there with the 'wheel' turning. It works ok on my phone and ipad. Have tried updating tv operating system and iview app but they seem to be at the latest version. Anyone else having problems?

      HDMI Arc stopped working.

      My LG 50 inch Model: 50NANO75UPA HDMI Arc stopped working with my Vizio soundbar. It worked very well when I first connected it until this morning. I purchased an extended warranty, but is there a known solution before I send out for help? It is definitely the LG Tv, and not the soundbar because I used to have a Samsung soundbar, which worked only for about a week before the HDMI Arc stopped working and I switched over to the Optical. Now even the Optical does not work That's why I bought a Vizio.

      HDMI ARC to Denon AVR stopped working after latest update

      I have an LG C1 55 connected to a Denon x2100w AVR on HDMI 2 (arc)... It always worked perfectly... After the latest TV upgrade I can't get anymore TV audio on the AVR.
      I tried disconnecting and reconnecting everything, unplugging stuff for minutes, switching multiple hdmi sources... The AVR can send data to the TV, but it doesn't see TV audio signal.
      All the HDMI audio settings on the TV are greyed out and disabled.
      Next thing I'll try to reset to factory defaults, but I suspect it won't fix anything...
      Note this worked flawlessly for 2 years.
      Ideas are welcome.
