No Netflix App for LG 49UF7787

Question

Posted

Hello all,

I have just bought an LG 49UF7787 from Germany. After setting it up, the preinstalled Netflix app wanted me to update itself. It does not work without updating. When I try to update, it gives me "content not available" error. It is not even listed in the all apps section.

Is it something related to the TV itself or a general Netflix app problem on WebOS 2.0?

Thanks,

TU

Nope. No app for that model (I have the same, just 55"). It seems that there is no LG app for many LG tv's produced in 2015. According to some sources it may arrive by the end of march. Stupid LG, and stupid webos....

I was using Netflix in 4K before last update where I went to reset TV to factory settings, after that I have same issue.

Official statement of LG Croatia is that Netflix is playing movies in only 30 FPS where my TV is running at 60 FPS.

I have 49UF8507 model.

It is a shame for LG to sell a smart TV without support to very basic and common apps like Netflix.

You know their argument (if we can call it an argument at all) is quite flawed. Your TV did not become 60FPS capable overnight. It had the same hardware before and after the firmware update. It's about something that LG have broken with their firmware on specific tv models without previously reconciling it with Netflix. So its now up to Netflix (or who ever is developing these apps) to develop the new app which can work under new conditions which were enforced by LG - the company which obviously does not give a rats ass about customer experience....

Or its up to LG to fix what they have broken with new firmware update. I've seen cases on the net where Netflix app become available on some models after the firmware update...

      LG OLED65C2AUA.
webOS TV version webOS25/10.2.2-61. up to date.
software version 33/22.95 up to date.
whenever I watch Netflix it freezes indiscriminately. Once it happened at minute 1:29 of a movie although it can happen at any time. the Netflix error message says to restart which I do but the issue persists. it is to the point where it is unwatchable. however, when I watch it through Firestick it is fine. Other TV's do not have the issue so I am thinking it is something with the TV. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app on the TV. I have powered down the TV. I have reset the router. I am wired with ethernet so not using wifi. any help would be appreciated to fix this issue.

      Hi,
I have my LG 4K Smart TV -Model : 43UJ632T.
I could not able to use the Wireless Keyboard ( Logitech K230) with Builtin Apps like Youtube, Amazon Prime or in Netflix to search. I could able to use only thru Magic Remote.
But the same Keyboard is working fine in Google Movies & SunNXT apps.
Could you please help me in fixing the same.
      Thanks,
      Sriram.

      Hi,
My problem is that my Netflix app on my LG tv (OLED65B13LA) keeps selecting the leftmost button, it's impossible to scroll the cursor to the right to select another button. I tried resetting the tv to factory defaults - after installing Netflix again the issue is exactly the same.
I also tried disconnecting the tv from power for a few minutes. Plus I contacted Netflix, but they said I need to contact TV manufacturer before they log a possible bug in the app :/.
My Amazon Prime app works perfectly fine on the same tv.
      Any thoughts?

I have an LG 55NANO86VNA TV. It has always displayed Netflix and other content in DV with no issues.
Since the recent TV firmware update to 4.50.51, although Netflix shows DV content available, the TV no longer displays the DV logo top-right when any DV content is started.
Nano TV also does not play test DV content on a USB memory stick in DV. This used to play as DV, and still plays fine with DV logo top-right on my older LG TV.
      Dolby Vision is 22.11.
Anyone else seen this issue. Any suggestions please.
