For those with LG monitors with Higher than 144hz that have the new software and UI UPDATE version 03.11.22 and that have NVIDIA GPUs, here's where you can DISABLE DSC to allow the DSR factor again. UPDATED JULY 16, 2026 (07-16-26)

This is for all that have LG monitors with the latest software that changed UI settings for GAME OPTIMIZER

I could not find this anywhere on the internet for an update on what happened to the compatibility modes for DisplayPort/HDMI. Everything is outdated.

Apparently LG updated their UI and MOVED the option for compatibility modes to disable DSC. This USED to be in the common GENERAL tab, but NO LG moved it to the External Devices, which makes no sense as it should be with the common general menu.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or an oversight, but here it is

SETTINGS BUTTON > GENERAL > EXTERNAL DEVICES > INPUT COMPATIBILITY

Why would you disable DSC, you ask?

Well, if you don't disable this mode, you will not be able to use scaling factors like DSR on NVIDIA. I have seen remarks about AMD being able to use it without this option turned off, but for NVIDIA they are behind on this.

This WILL disable high frame rates beyond 144 Hz for the trade-off, but you will be able to scale your resolution higher.

As digital transformation accelerates and hybrid work becomes the norm, business environments are evolving at an unprecedented pace. At LG, we recognize that this shift brings new challenges. Productivity is now intertwined with comfort, efficiency with user well-being and performance with environmental responsibility. In this new landscape, a one-size-fits-all display is as outdated as the floppy disk.
This is why we design our business monitors not simply as screens, but as industry-specific solutions shaped by the real needs of modern workplaces. From corporate offices to data-driven financial institutions, developer environments, creative studios and sustainability-focused public agencies, we deliver tailored display solutions that help organizations work smarter, faster and better.
For the Modern Corporate Office: Comfort That Drives Productivity

Today’s office is more connected and collaborative than ever, with video calls becoming a daily routine. With increasing screen time, the question becomes: how can a monitor make work easier, smarter and more comfortable?
Our business monitors put the user at the center. Models like the versatile LG UltraWide (34BA85QE) offer a fully adjustable stand – height, pivot and tilt – along with single-cable USB-C connectivity for a clean, organized desk setup. For meeting-heavy environments, the FHD 24/27BA850 models integrate a webcam and microphone, helping users stay ready for every call.
Across the lineup, features such as Reader Mode and Flicker Safe help reduce eye strain, supporting long-lasting comfort throughout the workday.
For Finance, Development and Creative Studios: Precision on an Expansive Canvas

Whether analyzing complex datasets, writing thousands of lines of code or crafting pixel-perfect creative work, professionals need monitors that show more – without compromising on quality.
The 5K2K LG UltraFine (40WT95UF) is designed precisely for this. Its expansive 21:9 screen with 5K2K (5120×2160) resolution offers about 33 percent more pixels than standard 4K, allowing users to compare dashboards, review code or work on layered visual content side by side without constant window switching.

Beyond space, the display’s performance is tailored for demanding creative environments. With 99 percent DCI-P3 coverage and VESA Certified DisplayHDR 600, it delivers the accurate color and detail essential for color grading and visual effects. A 120Hz refresh rate ensures smooth motion for refined workflows.
As the world’s first Thunderbolt 5 5K2K display, it also delivers ultra-fast data transfer, up to 96W power delivery and 5K2K display connectivity – all through a single cable. This next-generation interface supports efficient production of financial dashboards, control room visuals and enterprise-grade content, ensuring stability, scalability and seamless performance.
For the Public Sector: A Commitment to Sustainability
Government agencies and public institutions are increasingly prioritizing ESG, making sustainability a core requirement rather than an option. These organizations need technology partners who share the same values.
LG’s business monitors are designed with energy efficiency and responsible materials in mind. Many models carry global certifications such as ENERGY STAR® or TCO Certified, and we provide Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) reports for greater transparency. Reflecting these efforts, several models in our 2025 lineup – including the 24BA560, 27BA560 (FHD) and 27BA54QB (QHD) – have earned EPEAT Gold certification, meeting key public sector procurement standards.
      A Partner for Your Business

Offering Versatile Options to Meet a Broad Spectrum of Workplace Needs

SEOUL, Oct. 18, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is launching its business monitor lineup, introducing 20 brand-new models designed to enhance productivity and ergonomic comfort in the workplace. Well known for its premium consumer monitors, LG is now expanding into the B2B sector with monitors tailored to the needs of diverse professional environments, from corporate and government to education, healthcare and the creative industries. The impressive lineup presents customers with a wealth of choices, including a variety of different aspect ratios and screen resolutions ranging from QHD to Full HD.
LG UltraWide Displays: Spacious, High-resolution Screens
Available in the 21:9 aspect ratio, LG’s UltraWide business monitors are outstanding multitasking solutions with high-resolution screens. The 34BA85QE-B comes equipped with a built-in webcam and microphone, enabling convenient video conferencing without the need for additional devices. LG’s feature-packed UltraWide business models also offer Picture-by-Picture (PBP) mode, specifically supporting 2PBP, which streamlines workflow by allowing users to display up to two windows side by side.
Additionally, thanks to the inclusion of USB-C 3.2 Gen1 with power delivery (up to 90W), LG’s UltraWide monitors can charge connected devices while simultaneously displaying content from them, making life even more convenient for busy professionals.

Ideal for customer-facing settings, such as government service centers, airports and hotel lobbies, LG’s QHD monitors feature ergonomic designs with height-, swivel-, and tilt-adjustable stands that help deliver customized comfort for each user. This flexibility offers numerous possibilities for monitor-position adjustment. For example, the screen can be significantly lowered to enable direct eye contact and better communication between staff and customers. Furthermore, the inclusion of Reader Mode helps to lessen eye fatigue when reading documents, making the new monitors more comfortable to use for extended periods. The monitors also help safeguard users’ eye comfort with Flicker Safe Mode, which minimizes the occurrence of screen flickering.
The company’s QHD lineup includes two 27-inch, high-resolution variants (models 27BA75QB and 27BA65QB), each fitted with a premium IPS display that provides exceptional clarity, a wide viewing angle, 99 percent coverage of the sRGB color gamut and support for SDR and HDR modes. Along with precise color reproduction, both of the new QHD models boast a 100Hz refresh rate that results in smooth visuals and a pleasant user experience. To ensure compatibility with the widest possible range of digital devices and peripherals, LG’s QHD monitors incorporate multiple connectivity options, such as USB-C and HDMI.
Full HD Monitors: Enhancing User Convenience
LG’s Full HD Monitors are well suited to roles that require users to work with data or content from multiple external devices, offering USB Type-C and other types of USB ports. Available in 27- and 23.8-inches, LG’s business monitors with Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution IPS panels (models 27BA850 and 24BA850) come with built-in speakers and webcams for convenient video conferencing. Each monitor also has its own internal power supply to ensure reliable performance and minimize clutter in the workspace.
