LG’s IFA Exhibit to Highlight Company’s ‘AI Home’ Vision and AI-Powered Appliances

SEOUL, Aug. 7, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is inviting consumers from around the globe to Berlin, Germany, to experience its latest AI appliance innovations at IFA 2024, taking place from September 6-10. Under the theme Experience, Affectionate Intelligence Home, the company will present its comprehensive and inspiring vision for the next chapter of the AI home.

At LG’s large-scale booth, located in Hall 18 at Messe Berlin, visitors can experience the elevated quality of life made possible by the company’s diverse lineup of AI home solutions. In addition to introducing its newest offerings powered by Affectionate Intelligence, LG will demonstrate its considerable progress in realizing the AI home of the future and reaffirm its strong commitment to leading a new era of AI innovation.

      As the title says, please fix ASAP playback of Profile 7 (FEL/MEL) inside Matroska (.mkv) container.

      On WEB OS 24 it was working with backwards compatibility to HDR10 base layer - in other words the Dolby Vision was omitted.

      Currently in WEBOS 25 the files won't work/play.

      As LG started to support Profile 8 Dolby Vision from WEB OS 25 in MKV properly, this should be easy fix for LG.

      Greetings,
      I'm hoping someone can assist with a problem we're experiencing while running a Next.js based web application on WebOS.
      Our Configuration:
      Display:  43UM5N-E UHD Signage Display (43" LCD)
      WebOS version:  6.0.0-124 (libertyspikes-lager)
      Next.js version:  16.0.3
      React version:  19.2.0
      We have built a web application using Next.js and React.  It is hosted on an IIS server running on our local network.  The display is connected to the same network and we have verified connectivity with the web server.  Our application is not a native WebOS app, but rather, we are using the Play via URL option to display the web site when the display boots up.
      Attached is an image of the errors captured while running in the WebOS 6.0 simulator.  These errors happen immediately after the application starts.
      Based on our research, the embedded version of Node.js on this display is 8.12.0.  On newer versions of the simulator (v22 and above), the application loads fine and no errors occur.  It seems there are JS incompatibilities between the newer Next.js framework and the version of JS build into this display.
      Questions:
      1. Can the embedded JS version of the display be upgraded, and if so, how?
      2. Is there any other possible workaround to get this application to load?  It runs fine on regular browsers and reverting back to an older version of Next.js or re-writing in plain JS is not an option for us.

      Hi!
      I am having an LG UH850V TV that supports HDR 10 and Dolby Vision. However, while playing Dolby Vision movies, the screen appears green but the audio is clear.
      How do I fix this.
