  1. Thanks ,looks like all the 4k TVs , I think the HD model firmware may end with 15 not 20 .
  2. That was my concern so I changed back to NZ location in case . It seems the latest firmware has no major bugs that I have heard of , hope it will be the same here in NZ .
  3. He cant remember but he was set to AU location so that's the reason he got it early , have to wait until later to know version number .
  4. Hi peejayw , did you get an update , I noted somewhere else a kiwi got one night before last on his 2014 set and now has freeview plus. Not me
  5. I have seen members here successfully going back to previous versions but the process seems rather involved . But who knows with the new firmware if that will still be an option .
  6. Lg told me the update would be available last week and be auto , I'm almost scared to try it once it comes out .
  7. No not at all, I have had both and find it amazing that they both have the same errors that could possibly be avoided by more memory.
  8. I dont think the grass is any greener on the other side . I had the panasonic 60AS800 , so called flagship hd model for 2014 and it also had memory issues when using the webb browser , Dont think there installing enough memory for the job .
  9. Hi , found it , you are on 4.65.50 same as I was on previously and the screen remote did not work for me on that in NZ mode either . Strange as I dont think theres much difference between our TVs .
  10. Thats weird , on the LB7500 it only works if you set the TV to AUS broadcast . Ill have to have a moan to LG , must be a firmware glitch
  11. Even if the new update includes HBBtv I may keep mine on the Australian setting for the universal remote feature. unless LG includes that for us as well , I cant see a reason not to.
  12. Yeah I think the next update may be a bit different as per Freeview changes so if it did pick the Aus one it may not apply .
  13. HI guys , for the auto ota updates how does the server know your country ? is it from your service location or broadcast location settings or is it IP related , Asking as I believe there is an update coming for NZ but I have mine set for Australian broadcast location .
  14. Yeah I was impatient and installed the new firmware while it was online in NZ for a short time . Haven't had any problems so far but it sounds like they have stuffed up .
  15. Thanks for that , by the way how are you communicating with LG , I was ringing the support number and always ended up with somebody who knew nothing about the TV or our country .
  16. If you push the 123 key on the magic remote it will bring up an onscreen remote of whatever device you have connected to that input ie bluray or sky , you can configure these in the device connector , but like I said if I set my tv back to NZ broadcast the function is completely disabled , If you want better instructions have a look at the onscreen instructions they should be clearer than mine haha.
  17. Thanks ,I have the 2014 65LB7500 I changed broadcast country to AUS so that I could enable HBBTV and unexpectedly this also enabled the universal screen remote when using the magic remote, don't know why that would not have been enabled for our location but LG work in mysterious ways . I hope the LG rep you spoke to knows whats going on because they did not impress me .
  18. Hi vs2 I have mine on 5.00.04 here in NZ I don't use freeview much so haven't noticed EPG issues . Did LG inform you regarding freeview plus as I have been inquiring about this on the support site and they did not bother to respond, I also take it that the October update for freeview plus will now have to be a higher number than the 5.00.04 .
  19. True , Here in New Zealand 5.00.04 showed for a short time on the LG NZ website but was never available over air for auto update.
