To answer my own questions , I was able to create an answer file and point the TV to a file that was server locally on my computer. It successfully upgraded to 04.41.39, wchich I got from the LG support site for my TV. Then I did an OTA update to 04.45.x and everything is back to stock. The model is HE_DTV_WT1M_AFAAATAA again, which is the right one. Thanks for the great tool Simon!! It makes upgrades and downgrades a breeze.
Good job man0072, but are you sure that this is HE_DTV_NC4M_AFAAABAA, not HE_DTV_WT1M_AFAAABAA?
BTW This tool is done primarily by Russian hackers. I have just modified it a little and ordered it to be more transparent and easier to use, especially for members of this forum.
Hi thanks for the great work on this.
When i tried to update my 50LB650 TV using my desktop PC it wouldn't work, when I tried using my laptop it worked great. I think it was because the desktop PC has Windows 10 and the laptop windows 7.
Thanks again
Indeed, you right, I've heard about problems with Windows 10, but I use it personally and I had no such problems.

Maar wat nu te doen ???
Ik heb een 55UB850V UHD 3D .
Hey Rik, maybe try to downgrade then try to update again. What do you mean 'no image'?

Here is the file
Okay, thanks, this is firmware file. I thought that you mean another file.
I did try, see post #38. Everything works but when it says its updating nothing happens. Thanks.
Maybe the problem is with NZ ISP? Should I try using a VPN?
Oh, sorry, you right. It is not ISP problem. I think it's your TV series 9xxx problem.

Will it work for model 84ub980-ta?
Just try and let us know. This knowledge also we need. I have only one TV model, you have to help me somehow.
-
I am not trying to use it with this. I don't know how to do that. I use to be able to downgrade using a usb drive.
Can you send my this file?
-
I have the file for the first software released for my TV. It is version 3.23.06. I use to be able to downgrade using power only mode but they disabled it with this new software
I do not understand. Where you have this file and what is its name?

Hey majkicimo. 5.10 is not higher than 5.00. 5.10 is beta version, but in my opinion it's little bit faster and smoother than newer official version 5.00.

It says No update was found.
Okay still working on it.
It actually worked, woohoo! I successfully downgraded to 3.23.32. Now how do I upgrade to 04.41.39? I created a USB drive with LG_DTV folder and the starfish-atsc-secured-m14tv-32.arches-3239-04.41.39-prodkey_usb_V3_SECURED.epk file in it. But when I insert in the TV, only SmartShare message pops up, no update. Thanks for any more info!
Good. Try to update by OTA, them do it with USB.

No success for me. I don't see HE_DTV_WT1H_AFAAATAA in the list
Again - You tried to downgrade or just looking for HE_DTV_WT1H_AFAAATAA? I need to know you tried to do downgrade.
-
Any way you can add HE_DTV_WT1M_AFAAATAA? Thanks in advance.
You tried to downgrade or just looking for HE_DTV_WT1M_AFAAATAA? Please try and let me know.

Good decision ultrapengu.

Hello again guys. First, thank you for your thanks, it's very motivating. Nice to see satisfied users, now we have to do something for the others. I could not do anything earlier, because I had problems with my network, but finally I updated LgDTVupdater and now you can download it and try to downgrade your firmware. I hope it goes well now. If not, we will try to do it individually. So let's try and please let me know about successes. Good luck.

Hi santosh, In Poland it is now ~ 3H00AM and I have to get some rest, but when I come back to life I will prepare an update to include TV models that are not available for now.
-
Deihmos01, I'll still working on it.

Thank you SIMON, you saved my 49UB850V, i used your tut to downgrade from 5.00.04, and worked like a charme
Nice to know that it works for others, though regretting that not for everyone will.
Maybe next update will be better for your TV. Meanwhile, thank you for your opinion and I wish you to make it happen.

So it looks like this is the big update everyone has been waiting for.
I think It is possible that you are right Shayne. Big update and more problems with it. Nothing new.

Let me see... It looks simple but that was not how I did it,
Your way is to downgrade to original firmware 03.23.13and .epk is located on http://su.lge.com. I had to manually check the update to get file "in_dump" to clarify TV model, later copy and edit empty file for tv model and .epk file location and set force flag to Y to force downgrade. Finally when that was all done the TV accepted the version of .epk I copied.Your way is easier but probably people are having trouble finding the correct file for their TV model, that is why the update is not detected. Why do you have edited your post... Please, do not write stupidity, it's not true what you said. You don't know, guessing and doing unnecessary confusion. First test it on your TV then talk about it.
Read with understanding. My way is to downgrade to the first firmware TV [#11] not to 03.23.13. People do not have to look any firmware - they can do it if they need to install custom firmware like beta or official from LG support site. If not, after Restart TV [#12] they can just use Check For Updates option to upgrade firmware by OTA as David Isom did it. Update was not detected because in Updater lacked support for higher TV models and I had to update it. I wrote to you about it, but you come back to this topic to edit your post... And finally and above all - We're here to help each other, not to do confusion and destroy work of other. Don't do it anymore and Stay in Peace.

55ub9500 5.00.04 1.4.0-2304. Maybe this guide is for specific model.
Updated for higher TV models, tested, uploaded.
-
I don't think you was right in this case.
Please read instruction and look at David's post.
I need to update LgDTVupdater for higher models.
-
Check you TV model in LgDTVUpDater\htdocs\in_dump.txt
<MODEL_NM>HE_DTV_WT1H_AFAAABAA</MODEL_NM>then find the model tv file in LgDTVUpDater\TV series and copy it to LgDTVUpDater\htdocs\Are you sure? It's not working like that...
-
turbozob, don't scare, with my tutorial and files it's easy like copy and paste.
-
I checked it one more time on my TV before creating this topic.
Please make sure that you everything did correctly.
BTW What is your TV model, webOS version and software?

marioasavu10, both windows have to be opened. I think it can be firewall. Try to disable it. Or... where you have unpacked LgDTVupdater folder? C:/LgDTVupdater?
