Open network and sharing on pc and you should be able to set up a home network. ....you tv will pick this up if connected to your internet and you can stream straight from laptop to tv.....if not just put films on a usb and plug in....tv will recognise stick and films on it....hope this helps.

Please explain ...is this a solution as I too wish to navigate directly to DLNA server content. Many thanks
