LG CX, SONOS arc: PC audio is randomly recognize as WMA and randomly as Dolby Atmos

Riccardo

Question

Hello to everyone,

I am new to the forum. I wanted to ask whether I am alone with this problem or it is common.

My set up: PC-DolbAtmos, LG-CX, SONOS ARC (eARC).

I've notice the audio connection between the PC and LG+ARC was unstable. Finally I noticed LG-CX sometimes forward (passthrough) the good Dolby Atmos signal and some other times it passes a signal which is WMA (not supported by the sonos device).

PC is set to always send "Atmos", when WMA is sent, simply changing "passthrough->PCM->Passthrough" in the LG audio menu solves the problem.

Why is know that LG-CX randomly passes the good signal at times and at other times doesn't ?

Would you have any tricks to help out ? maybe force audio to be transcoded by the TV (possible?) to be alway DD+ ?

Thanks a lot for any kind of help and suggestions.

Hi all, so I have 2 LG OLED TVs at home and I am connecting them to 5GHZ Wi-Fi, no problem until yesterday. Suddenly, I am not able to use the apps (Netflix, IPTV, Disney etc.) and both TVs are showing connection issues. The same Wi-Fi works on my PC and mobile though. So I tried connecting using a different Wi-Fi with my hotspot and both TVs worked again with no problems. I tried restarting my router many times and my provider said there is no issue on their end, but I am not able to use the home Wi-Fi anymore.
Have you seen this before? Is it possible that my provider blocked my LGTVs from accessing their network?
      Thanks

We just purchased a new LG WebOS TV OLED 65" and running the setup through the app or the TV remote says it can't load the user agreement. This is blocking us from getting to streaming apps like Nexflix or any smart functions like Voice assistant.
TV worked fine for a few days but voice assistant stopped working and after much effort LG tech said to  Reset to Initial Settings. Now we have mentioned no smart functions. TV is on ethernet and its browser functions on web fine. Tried running off neighbor's wifi with same results.
Tried switching to different country, unplugging/hold power button for 20 seconds/wait one minute,  resetting TV multiple times, setting up remote again, ...
Error message: Unable to Load User Agreements  A server error has occurred while downloading  the User Agreements. You must download and agree to the terms of the User Agreements to use this feature or application. Do you want to try to download them again… Unable to Load User Agreements  Sorry, but the User Agreements  can't be downloaded at this time…Please check your internet connection and try again later.    No change when trying over five days.
Now there is no local company available to service TV. Maybe it's time to send it back and give LG TV a one star rating. I am willing to change motherboards but doubt if LG would go along with that.
      Anyone have any ideas.

I am trying to setup my new Phonak my hearing aids TV Connector with my new LG GP2 TV and Sonos Arc sound bar, connected by via the HDMI eArc port.   The TV automatically uses the the HDMI eArc port, and that port only.  As a result no signal goes through the optical out port of the LG TV.
Is there a way to make the LG TV sound signal simultaneously go out to both the sonud bar via eArc port and to the Phak TV Connector via the optical out port so that I can connect hearing aids to the Phonak TV connector and also use the Sonos Arc soundbar at the same time?
      Appreciate any guidance.
      Thanks, M55

      Hey guys,
While I have Sonos Beam gen2 connected to my LG 65C12LA via HDMI (eARC) I can’t select any other output device e.g. bluetooth headphones. I can technically select it in TV menu for like 5 seconds, and then output switched back to HDMI (eARC). Is it a bug or feature?
      Thanks in advance!
