Spain-Reforestation-1-600x400.jpg

Launched back in 2017, LG Spain’s Smart Green Movement aimed to plant 47 million trees across the nation – one tree for every Spaniard. When it began, the goal sounded overly ambitious but, as of this year, over 8 million trees have already been planted. Gaining momentum, this social movement gained even more global interest at the P4G Seoul Summit held in May.

At this summit, Spain’s prime minister highlighted LG’s Smart Green Movement as a perfect example of how cooperation can protect the environment with the public. Just a few days earlier, the Spanish vice president visited

built to introduce the country’s most influential people to the Smart Green Movement. Until now, over 300 CEOs, ministers and regional presidents have walked through this connected house in Madrid, leading to several agreements to reforest many of Spain’s deserted areas.

With 20 companies and several public administrations on board, deserted areas in Guadalajara, Palencia, Extremadura, Aragón and Valladolid are being revitalized with the help of a green startup company, . To maximize results and minimize environmental impact, CO2 Revolution utilizes technologies and a mix of drones, i-seeds and big data to effectively spread seeds with a better chance of germination across expansive areas.

To encourage more people to participate in the movement, LG Spain brought back the age-old planting technique, ‘Nendo Dango’, which utilizes autochthonous seed balls made of clay and compost, so that children and senior citizens could make them during training sessions and plant them themselves. To date, more than 3,000 children from four towns in Madrid and Castile are creating seed balls during hour-long school lessons and then throwing them into terrains donated by city councils.

The eager enthusiasm of the younger generation, who can learn and do more to have a positive impact, will be the soil for the Smart Green Movement to grow. LG Electronics plans to organize national festivities every October for coordinated reforestation with every local town hall involved. With the younger generation now leading the way, we’re well on our way to achieving our “one person, one tree” goal in Spain.

Hi, I have a feature request for the sound out setting. I often connect my Bluetooth headphones to the TV. We don't use the internal speaker of the TV, we use the optical sound out setting whenever I don't use Bluetooth. It would make our lives a lot easier if the TV can remember the last sound out setting before connecting to Bluetooth and default back to this setting when the Bluetooth device gets disconnected. At the moment, each time I disconnect the headphones I have to go back into settings and change the sound out setting from internal speaker to optical again.
      Thanks and regards

I have recently allowed a software update on my LG tv and now my DVD recorder automatically turns my tv back on when a recording stops and and when I had already manually turned off both recorder and tv.  This is particularly when it happens in the very early morning!  How do I stop this. I am a pensioner and not a tech nerd!

At LG Electronics, Better Life for All is more than a corporate vision or tagline – it’s a guiding principle that shapes everything we create. Central to our inclusive vision is a belief in universal design: the philosophy of crafting products and experiences to deliver convenience and comfort for everyone, regardless of age, gender or physical ability.
Committed to this philosophy, LG aims to go beyond functional innovation to provide unique lifestyle solutions that truly put people first. A deep understanding of our customers and the diverse environments in which they live is essential to this endeavor, which is why listening to the voice of the customer is such an integral part of our design process.
We have established systems to directly integrate real user feedback, especially from those with limited mobility – and seniors and children – into the product development stage. This includes operating an advisory group of people with disabilities and conducting in-depth usability testing. Both of these elements have proven instrumental in helping us to identify and minimize even the smallest points of user discomfort.
Designing with Empathy, Delivering with Purpose
Design at LG has always been about more than aesthetics. It’s about innovating with empathy to ensure usability, ease and enjoyment for all. For us, universal design is not just an outcome, but a mindset shared by all our teams – one that infuses human-centeredness into every decision, no matter how minor or inconsequential it may seem to someone looking in from the outside. From the first concept sketch to the final product experience, we view every touchpoint as an opportunity to make someone’s daily life simpler, safer and more enjoyable.
This approach requires us to design with people rather than for them. It challenges our teams to think beyond convention, to question what “easy to use” truly means and to continuously refine our technology to better meet and adapt to real human needs. When empathy is woven into the design process itself, innovation follows naturally. That is how we translate inclusivity from principle to practice.
Turning Philosophy into Practice: The Comfort Kit
Putting this philosophy into action, we launched the Comfort Kit – a series of affixable assistive kits designed to allow anyone to use our products easily, regardless of their gender, age or physical condition.
      Some examples:

Easy Handle: Enables users with limited hand mobility to open washers and dryers with minimal effort.
Easy Ball: Helps those with reduced finger dexterity to manipulate control dials with ease.
Easy Hanger: Allows people using wheelchairs, or those who are shorter than average, to interact comfortably with the LG Styler.
Rotating Shelf: Improves refrigerator usability by making it easier to access hard-to-reach items. We have presented inclusive design solutions that improve the usability of existing products, becoming the first in the home appliance industry to introduce 14 accessibility-enhancing kits. These Comfort Kit series, designed to remove the “one-size-fits-some” barrier that many customers have long faced, are also sustainably manufactured – reflecting our commitment to protecting the planet.
      Recognition Beyond Design

Our efforts have not gone unnoticed. Globally, we are recognized as a model company for inclusive design.
We’ve shared our accessibility technologies and design philosophy at forums such as the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference, where the Comfort Kit series was welcomed by both consumers and organizations advocating for underrepresented communities.
We also showcased this work at important global exhibitions such as IFA and CES. Our dedication to good design earned us the “Design Awards Grand Slam” – winning top honors at all three major global design awards, Red Dot, iF, and IDEA.
These accolades matter to us, but more importantly, they reflect our deep conviction that inclusive design is not just a feature – it’s a responsibility.
      Designing for a Better Tomorrow
For us at LG, realizing the Better Life for All vision means creating unique products and experiences that feel right for everyone, and can be enjoyed by anyone. We will continue to advance accessibility so that all customers can take advantage of everything that our products and services have to offer. No caveats or compromises, only convenience and comfort.

LG Brings the Spirit of Life’s Good to Communities Across Indonesia
With optimism and innovation at our core, we continue to share our Life’s Good philosophy by inspiring joy and connection in local communities. Throughout 2025, LG Indonesia has carried this spirit across the country through meaningful initiatives marking its 35th anniversary – celebrating togetherness, creativity and the everyday moments that make life good.
By combining technology with shared experiences, LG Indonesia is bringing innovation closer to everyday life and creating opportunities for people to experience how technology can uplift and inspire.

      Taking Innovation on the Road
Earlier this year, LG Indonesia took our latest AI-powered products and LG ThinQ technology on the road with the Life’s Good Truck Roadshow campaign.
Over several months, the Life’s Good Truck visited 21 cities across Java, inviting visitors to explore and experience our innovations firsthand. Through interactive activities and hands-on product trials, local communities had the chance to engage with LG’s cutting-edge technologies outside of a traditional showroom – turning every stop into a celebration of innovation and connection.

A New Space for Creativity and Connection
Following the roadshow, LG Indonesia opened LG ZonaSeru at CGV Cinemas in Central Park Mall, Jakarta – a space designed to inspire, educate and entertain. More than a display area, LG ZonaSeru reimagines the customer experience as a creative hub where technology and culture meet. With interactive installations, workshops and community events, the space brings people together and embodies the Life’s Good spirit through shared discovery and fun.

Celebrating 35 Years with the Life’s Good Festival 2025: K-Wave Edition
To mark 35 years in Indonesia, LG Indonesia proudly introduced the Life’s Good Festival 2025: K-Wave Edition, hosted at LG ZonaSeru.
Running through the end of the year, the festival invites visitors of all ages to explore the richness of Korean culture through engaging classes in Hangul, K-Food, K-Beauty and K-Pop Dance. Each session is led by professional instructors and popular influencers who make every class accessible, creative and full of energy.

In the K-Food Class, participants can cook healthy Korean dishes using the LG NeoChef Microwave Grill Oven, while the Hangul Class introduces the Korean alphabet and simple vocabulary. The K-Beauty Class offers hands-on insights into skincare and style trends, and the K-Pop Dance Class gets everyone moving with choreography inspired by their favorite idols.

Throughout the festival, visitors can also experience our latest award-winning innovations – including the LG AI OLED evo C5 TV, LG WashTower, LG InstaView Refrigerator, LG DUALCOOL Air Conditioner and LG PuriCare Dehumidifier – each designed to make everyday living smarter, healthier and more enjoyable.

Life’s Good – Every Day, Everywhere
These initiatives show that Life’s Good is more than just a slogan. It’s about creating real experiences that connect people across cultures, celebrate optimism and make technology meaningful in everyday life.
As we celebrate 35 years in Indonesia, we remain committed to bringing innovation directly to communities – enriching daily living with smart, intuitive design and a spirit of togetherness that makes Life’s Good for everyone.
