There has been some exciting chatter coming out of the internet tubes and pipes involving Enyo development and the community. Thanks to our friend Ben Stern (aka @webOSdealer) and others in the community, we have ourselves a nationwide Hackathon on the horizon! This is certainly not going to be you grandma’s hackathon. You know, if your grandma had a hackathon and all.

On Sunday, March 4th the New York City webOS Developer and Enthusiast meetup will be hosting  a Virtual Hackathon between 12pm and  6pm. In addition to the New York meetup , Other meetups participating in the hackathon include San Diego, Indianapolis, and Dallas. There are 3 ways those who are interested will be able to participate:

  • Attend one of the local participating webOS meetups.
  • Gather with a few of your local devs and register as a team.
  • Register as an individual

At the start of the event there will be an Introduction to Enyo and presentation by HP webOS Developer Platform Architect Ben Combee via Ustream. Ben will also participate in a Q&A session half way through the event. Not content at offering just hackathon prizes, there will also be a

Hello, about 6 months ago my family bought a LG tv, I do not know the exact model or the name of it, but it has just destroyed the other internet connections when it is on, making my normal 50mb download speed go down to something around 2. It isn't just for my pc, it is for the Xbox in the living room too, as it suffers a little less than my computer but is sill a big and noticeable difference. I like to use 5Ghz internet, but 2.4Ghz is better for this, the router is closer to the TV if that is a question, and the internet in all my games just suck too, when the TV is off I have an average of 40ms on Overwatch 2, but when it is on I have near 500-600ms, Valorant is the same thing with average 20ms and when on its near average of 300ms, and I could make a claim about this for every games I've ever played.

If somebody has an answer please reply to this.

Hi. I own C9 for ~2 years and I've been using it wired to my network. Lately I've moved to a new place and I'm unable to connect it to my home network using Ethernet cable.
In short: TV doesn't get IP from dhcpd. When I provide IP manually it won't connect also (but is listed on UniFi Cloud Key device list with that IP. Seems like Ethernet interface is not brought up by TV).
DHCPD is run on the router which is a pfSense device. When I connect TV over Wifi - it successfully obtains IP from the very same DHCP server.
I've looked into dhcpd logs on the pfSense and when TV is connected via Ethernet cable, it casts DHCPDDISCOVER, gets DHCPOFFER from the server, but then never casts DHCPREQUEST to get DHCPPACK. So I see DHCPDISCOVER & DHCPOFFER loop in the logs.
I've been suspecting there is another dhcp server in my network that LG TV is sending DHCPREQUEST to, but this is highly unlikely and I've enabled dhcpd guarding on the switch just to be sure.
In terms of hardware, comparing to my previous apartment I have a new switch here (Unifi) and new in-wall cabling (Cat 6a). I doubt switch and cables makes a difference here. TV firmware is the latest. Connection is OK (I've checked it with a network tester). Network port is OK, standard LAN VLAN. I've doublechecked everything and running out of ideas.
Any ideas / tips how to diagnoze and solve this issue?
I'd really like to have it wired instead of wirelessly connected.

      Hey folks,
I recently downloaded the Filmrise App from the content store. My issue is that no matter what I try to watch a box appears on the screen saying there is an internet loss/disconnection. The message box is clearly from the app and not from the LG TV operating system. To add insult to injury, even with this "error" the selection is still streaming crystal clear in the background behind the box.
      Any thoughts?
