But LG Experience Museum had even more to offer.

After pre-registering online, visitors were treated to a special tour of LG Experience Museum and its three unique experience zones – Vintage Zone, Artistic Zone and Black Addict Zone – each offering an exploratory journey into the history of LG’s many innovations.

Adorned with a geometric-patterned backdrop and trimmings reminiscent of the ‘60s and ‘70s, Vintage Zone offered a look back in time to witness the evolution of LG TVs. In this space, the LG Serie 1 Retro Classic TV with its primitive cathode ray tube (CRT) technology set the mood.

The theme of Artistic Zone alluded to the minimalistic and timeless design of LG’s products, with LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier and LG TONE Free TWS earbuds posing with historical sculptures. Here, visitors could get up close to both the 4K and 8K versions of LG QNED Mini LED TVs, with their bright, vivid colors on flawless display.

Commonly known as the Coandă effect, this results is a consistent, comfortable breeze that can be felt throughout the room. The PuriCare AeroTower’s tapered, vertical vanes are whisper quiet, only emitting 23dB of wind noise and the sleek cylindrical design offers a modern aesthetic that matches well with any type of décor. LG’s newest PuriCare model will be available in two subtle and sophisticated colors, Beige and Silver.3
LG PuriCare AeroTower comes certified by international testing agencies such as IBR Laboratories for improving indoor air quality. Multi-stage True HEPA Filters captures 99.97 percent of different types of particulates as small as 0.3 microns in size.4 An additional benefit comes in the form of LG UVnano technology which employs ultraviolet-C light to reduce the presence of bacteria that often collect on the fan.5
Along with performance and style, LG’s newest air care solution delivers exceptional convenience for its attention to the user experience. Customers can quickly check a variety of air quality data on the purifier’s bright LCD display or on the free LG ThinQ mobile app. The Android and iOS app also allows for the device to be monitored in real time and settings adjusted from outside the home.

Recent Seoul Smart ITS 2.0 Deployment Project and 5GAA Demonstration
Showcase Company’s Solution to Protect Vulnerable Road Users and Drivers

SEOUL, June 12, 2023 — LG Electronics (LG) is accelerating the advancement of traffic safety solutions that utilize vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications. V2X enables vehicles to communicate with one another and surrounding infrastructure and will play a major role in the upcoming era of autonomous driving.
In conjunction with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, LG recently completed the deployment of an advanced accident prevention system and verified its service effectiveness and usefulness in school zone areas in Seoul, Korea through the ‘Seoul Smart ITS 2.0 Deployment Project.’ The project featured the deployment of the company’s in-house-developed 5G Network-based V2X system, ‘Soft V2X.’
Soft V2X is a cloud-based service that collects and analyzes a range of data, including location, direction and speed of pedestrians and vehicles. This data is then used to inform drivers and vulnerable road users of potential traffic safety risks in real time. The solution can also communicate nearby road conditions and traffic signals by linking with smart Roadside Unit (RSU) equipped with an AI camera. Easy to use, the Soft V2X app can be installed via smartphone application* and easily be integrated into various connected mobility devices such as e-bikes, e-scooters, motorbikes as well as in-vehicle infotainment or telematics systems.
The recent demonstration was conducted in school zone areas encompassing two elementary schools and a kindergarten in Gangseo-gu – a suburb in western Seoul – and involved a total of 6,700 participants. Over a six-month period, Soft V2X sent over 40,000 traffic hazard notifications to pedestrians and vehicles, with 74.8 percent of pedestrians and 68.4 percent of drivers and vulnerable road users taking proper actions to avoid potential accidents, such as reducing their velocity or changing moving direction.
The project provided confirmation that Soft V2X, in conjunction with Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) infrastructure, can reliably deliver a variety of traffic safety information and services. LG’s solution also proved effective at raising users’ awareness of traffic safety, helping to minimize potential collision accident risks and encouraging people to exercise appropriate caution in real traffic environments.
With the 26th 5G Automotive Association (5GAA) Meeting held in Seoul on May 11, LG took the opportunity to invite 70 global automakers and industry experts to participate in the demonstration and experience Soft V2X for themselves. Those who joined in had high praise for LG’s solution, noting the effectiveness of its real-time notifications in positively modifying behavior to keep people safe.
Going forward, LG will further enhance the usability of Soft V2X and refine the services it provides based on feedback from the project’s participants. During a trial event at the upcoming 5GAA meeting in Detroit, USA, this October, the company will introduce a more advanced Soft V2X solution that can offer services tailored to the specific needs and demands of different markets.
The company expects there will be a strong interest in Soft V2X given the recent surge of interest in pedestrian safety, government-led discussions on the establishment of next-generation Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) and other vertical industries.
“We will secure technology leadership in cloud-based connected mobility platform for vehicle and pedestrian safety through continuous research and development,” said Je Yeong-ho, head of C&M Standard Lab. at LG Electronics.

A Stunning Achievement, the Larger-Than-Life 97-inch OLED TV Comes With
Real Time Video and Audio Wireless Transmission up to 4K 120Hz

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 4, 2023 — LG Electronics (LG) is introducing its 97-inch LG SIGNATURE OLED M (model M3), the world’s first consumer TV with Zero Connect1 technology, a wireless solution capable of real-time video and audio transmission at up to 4K 120Hz. The revolutionary new OLED TV M3 delivers superior picture and sound quality as well as greater flexibility to install and connect. A stunning achievement of technology and design, LG’s wireless 4K OLED is the recipient of CES 2023 Innovation Awards in two categories.2
Unlike conventional TVs, where all input ports for connecting external devices are located on the rear or sides, the M3 comes with a separate Zero Connect box that sends video and audio signals wirelessly to LG’s cinematic, 97-inch screen. Because it can be placed away from the TV, the Zero Connect box helps to create a cleaner, distraction-free viewing environment and gives users greater freedom to arrange their space. The box comes with multiple ports for plugging in commonly used HDMI devices, such as cable/satellite set-top boxes and gaming consoles and can also connect wirelessly with compatible soundbars for richer, more powerful audio and additional cable-free convenience. Along with offering users more freedom when curating their space, the M3 and its Zero Connect box allows users to easily install the new LG OLED TV without entangled cables. What’s more, without any wires to disturb users from enjoying their viewing experiences, the sleek minimalism of the 97-inch TV’s One Wall Design becomes even more breathtaking to behold.
LG’s wireless solution leverages state-of-the-art technologies to provide reliable video and audio transmission to the M3’s self-lit OLED screen, allowing users to enjoy content at 4K 120Hz and clear, crisp sound without interruption or degradation of quality. To ensure the seamless transfer of data from the box to the TV, the company developed an algorithm that instantly identifies the optimal transmission path. The algorithm also helps to minimize transmission errors or disruptions as it can recognize changes in the immediate environment – such as people or pets moving around the room – and switch paths accordingly. Additionally, for maximum signal strength, the box’s antenna can be easily rotated and/or tilted to align with the TV’s location. For maximum usability, the Zero Connect box is voice recognition-enabled, meaning users can turn on and manage the M3 and connected devices using simple, spoken commands.
Despite the imposing size of its screen, the M3 blends in effortlessly with one’s interior décor courtesy of its understated One Wall Design. The M3 and its integrated bracket sit flush against the wall with no visible gap, presenting a chic, art gallery aesthetic that augments the TV’s outstanding self-lit picture quality.
LG’s cutting-edge 4K OLED TV with Zero Connect wireless solution will be on show during CES 2023 from January 5-8 at the company’s booth (#15501, Central Hall, Las Vegas Convention Center). Keep up with all of LG’s exciting announcements at CES by following #LGCES2023 on social media.
