Add the option to turn off mouse acceleration. I think I would fins it much easier to aim the pointer if I could disable it. I always disable it on computers. You can just add it next to the pointer speed setting under General > System > Additional Settings > Pointer Options
Two other settings I think would make sense to have would be a setting to disable the shake-remote-to-show-pointer feature. Although I like it I can sometimes find it annoying, so why not let the users decide. I always hate it when there aren't settings for things like these.
The other setting would be to disable the pointer completely as many users have written that they want to disable it.

Last week a LG service person visited our home. After resetting our new LG TV, he went to his van and returned with a large remote controller. We asked what it was for and he told us it was to access settings that the standard controllers could not do. But would not tell us what it did.
Do you know what it can do?

My 65UQ70 TV started to ignore my remote yesterday. After some experiments I've found that it only reacts to double clicks now. So I have to use double clicks for any action - move through menus, launch apps etc, single clicks are just ignored.
Resetting the TV to factory settings didn't help.
I tried to google the issue and found that this might be an issue with the remote, but I can't find how to reset the remote of my model. Combinations like Home+Back (for Magic Remote) or 2+8 (for some old style remotes) don't work for my model, neither removing batteries and pressing all buttons does.
My remote seems to be AKB76040302, a photo from the Internet is below.
So, how do I reset it?
Some other things to mention:
- The pulses of the remote are not visible through a cell phone camera, so I couldn't check if it only sends signals to the TV after double clicks, or the TV is enforcing this issue. UPDATE: a cellphone sees the pulses in darkness, and a pulse is sent on each press, not only on doubles. So it should be TV OS issue, not the remote issue.
- This started to happen after I have updated the software and connected a sound bar with optical cable, though I believe the last action isn't related to the issue.

My magic remote and my Roku remote stopped working for turning off power so I performed a factory reset after troubleshooting to get the remote working. I am now stuck at the 1st screen of the Factory Reset which says "Press the OK Button(wheel) on your remote." Well... this really stinks because the remote doesn't work!!! I have tried a USB mouse, a new magic remote, other LG Remotes with no luck. I have also tried using the button on the bottom of the tv. And, I contacted support which was just an exercise in redoing everything I had already tried... No Luck!!
This is a Nano Cell 55NANO81ANA which is basically just a big brick now since I cannot even use any of the inputs. Does anyone have a trick for getting past this initial screen???
Thanks for the help.

Question
JRM
I have an LG 55NANO866NA television and a Humax PVP4000T set top box. After a lot of fiddling, I finally got the remote set up under Universal Controller and can turn the set top box on with the remote. This also turns the TV on and it automatically selects the correct input for the Humax box, so I have a picture. This is all ideal.
The problem comes when turning off the set top box as this also turns the TV off, even though it is the STB that is used, not the TV power button. Of course, this is very irritating as quite often, I wish to come off the STB because I have been watching a recording and go to the TV to watch live TV without sacrificing quality by viewing through the STB. Does anyone have any clues about how to make the STB button just control the STB and not control the TV as well - certainly on switch off?
Perhaps the solution is to use the "inputs" key and just go to live TV, leaving the set top box powered until the TV set is finally turned off?
Secondly, on my old LG TV, I had all the main terrestrial TV players available, iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, My 5. On this new model I just have the iPlayer and nothing else. I have looked in the app store and don't see any of the missing players. Am I missing something?
