Showtime and Starz Apps Just Twirl - Won’t Play

Sometimes the Showtime and the Starz apps. will not play videos. The little loading icon just twirls. A couple days later they might work fine.  I have tried signing out, deleting the app, reloading it from the LG Store, then signing back in, but it doesn’t solve the problem. Broadband speed tests are above 110 MB. 

Because it happens with both apps, it seems it could be some sort of an LG handshake or verification problem.

Casting Showtime and Starz movies to my LG 43UM6910PUA 4K UHD TV from the corresponding app on my iPhone works fine  but it ties up the phone.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

To fix the ‘stuck loading video’ problem on LG TVs for premium apps, do the following:

1.  Go to Settings>All Settings>General>Location>LG Services Country.

2.  Select a country other than the one you are actually in.

3.  Let the TV reboot automatically, then go back to Settings>All Settings>General>Location>LG Services Country.

4.  Reselect your actual country and let the TV reboot automatically.

You will have solved the problem until the next update of LGwebOS or a premium channel app. Given that there are LG owners complaining about the problem all over the Internet, i don’t know why it is not addressed by LG in Troubleshooting.

      Sky Now app wont play UHD content

      So i have a brand new OLED 65inch, the Sky now APP installed on the tv wont play the UHD content from sky, I do have the right subscription and when i use a amazon fire stick with the Now app installed it will play UHD Content, i just cant figure out why the tv installed app wont play it.  The Tv will play UDH content from other apps installed on the TV so i know its capable just something between the TV and Now app wont allow UHD Content, any ideas???

      changing the region made all the apps unavailable

      I bought LG smart tv. for some reason region selected was Africa and could only choose from african countries and had very little available apps in content store. I live in Georgia, so figured that  changing region to EU would help so changed it to 3122 and selected service country UK because Georgia was not in the list. after that every app says that it is not available in current country. I have  default region code saved so I guess could go back but wondering if any one can help me to get it working in EU. or if anyone have region code in which Georgia is available it will be helpful as well.

      No apps will work - "check network connection, connection to the server is unstable -102" even though network is fine

      Title says it all.  Install a new 50 inch LG tv.  For every app and App Store it displays that message.  I have a great network and the TV is approx 30 feet from the wifi router.  It will play TV (not sure if that is coming over the air) and the phone app sees and can control the TV but not one app will work?
      Any ideas or just return it?

      APPS Tile Missing From LG TV WebOs - 2019 model

      Already tried turning the TV off and on and unplugging for 10 minutes.
      There is no APPS tile in the horizontal tile row, so I can't load a third-party app like MLB.TV.
      No luck with the WebOs tile, or the LG Content Store.
      When I try the LG Content Store, and click on Apps inside that, I am only offered pre-loaded apps - 600 or so, but no MLB.TV.
      Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
