Multi-view issues/alternatives/suggestions/help

Question

Hi, I have seen pictures around the web of people having black bars when using the multi-view app. Maybe they are using another tv. I have a B7 and the bars are grey. spacer.png

Every issue I have with the app:

- The top and bottom bars are grey

- You have to turn off hdmi-cec

- Every input shows as 16:9, with black bars if the signal is not 16:9

There doesn't seem to be any 3rd party app alternative available, also I looked into if I could make a webos app but from the few minutes I looked into it, it seems you can not access hdmi inputs from a 3rd party app.

As a last resort, is it possible to downgrade the webos version to one that has the app with black bars?

Playing co-op games in splitscreen from two PCs, each in 8:9 aspect ratio would be cool..

I own OLED55C9 TV. I use Apple TV 4K with the TV. I enabled HDMI-CEC option in settings to be able to turn on my TV when my Apple TV is also turned on. But I would like to have also ability to turn TV off when Apple TV is turned off. Now I cannot do this (at least with webOS version 04.71.05). It will be awesome for me because in this case I don't even need to find LG TV remote. I need to use just build in Apple TV app on my iPhone which is very simple and useful. I use my LG

    • Question: HDMI ARC Issue with LG C9 and how to fix it.

hi, Friends, i have finally fixed the HDMI ARC issue. Apparently some people also had the same issue and couldnt figure out whats wrong. After reading through AVSForums, I finally understood that LG had a bug in HDMI operation as well.. The problem happens when your TV is already sending sound through HDMI ARC to a AVR and you try to connect additional sources like dth or blueray player to additional HDMI ports of TV and AVR. Once you add additional sources, you might try to use LG's dev

    • Question: Homekit won't turn TV on

My new LG TV (65UM6900PUA) running WebOS 04.71.25 works great with HomeKit, with the exception that it is not reachable while it is turned off. If I try to turn it on in the home app, it says "No Response."  I have changed the 'Turn on via Wi-Fi' setting to on, and it will turn on from the 'LG TV Plus' app, but not from the iOS home app. Is there a specific setting or something I need to change?

    • Question: How can I change the screensaver pictures ???

Hi, just bought a new LG OLED and pretty fast noticed that I`ve now chance to change the wallpapers ?!? Really pretty strange - even the smallest smartphone offers such a feature. The TV has enough USB interfaces - why is it not able to customize this by an own set of pictures ? Can`t be that big rocket science to implement this , especially for such an expensive device this should be a standard feature !!! Or did I  miss something in the settings of the TV ?

    • You Tube TV issue

Using the You Tube TV app on the LG Web OS. There is a problem that happens on all my 2019 LG TVs with Web OS that does not happen when I use the You Tube TV app on Apple TV with the same TV sets. Periodically the program I am watching stops and the App reverts to the opening screen. It has to be a bug in LG's Web OS working with You Tube TV. I bought 4 large LG TVs because they could support the You Tube App and Samsung could not. LG, you need to look into this and fix it.
