Pain is a normal sensation in the nervous system that begins to alert you to any possible injury and your care. Severe pain is usually caused by a sudden illness, fire, or tissue injury. The cause of severe pain is often diagnosed and treated and the pain is confined to a period of time or stiffness.

Chronic pain never ends – it lasts longer than chronic pain and is resistant to most medical treatments. Signs of pain persist for weeks, months, and years after the initial traumatic accident. Pain can be due to an existing cause such as cancer, ear infection, etc. It is a different matter that people have chronic pain even in the absence of any previous injury or physical harm. Chronic pain is commonly associated with paralysis.
Pain is a complex definition that varies from person to person, even among those with identifiable injury or illness. People with paralysis usually have neurogenic pain (this results from injury to the nerves or spinal cord in the body or the brain itself). Treatment of chronic pain includes therapy, acupuncture, local electrical stimulation or induction, brain stimulation, and surgery. Psychotherapy, relaxation and medication therapies, biofeedback, and behavior modification can also be adopted.
Pain management aims to improve a person's functioning so that they can work, go to school, or participate in other daily tasks. Among the most common treatments are:
Acupuncture is about 2,500 years old in China. In this, needles are used in a particular part of the body for treatment. Acupuncture may have been controversial but popular, and as it spreads, it may one day prove useful.
Anticonvulsants are used to treat seizure disorders, but sometimes they are also used to treat pain. In particular, carbamazepine is used to treat a variety of pain conditions, including trigeminal neuralgia. Another anti-allopathic drug, gabapentin, is being studied as a pain reliever. This is especially true for neuropathic pain. Antidepressants are also sometimes used to treat pain. In addition, anti-anxiety drugs called benzodiazepines are also sometimes used as muscle relaxants and pain relievers.
Biofeedback is used to treat many types of common pain. In this, using special electronic machines, the patient is trained to learn to control certain physical activities such as muscle tension, heart rate, and skin temperature. The person is then able to modify the effects of his or her response to pain, for example using relaxation techniques.
Capsaicin is a chemical found in chili peppers. It is also used as an ingredient in pain relief creams.
Chiropractic refers to manual massage of the spinal cord which is commonly used for back pain. It is no less controversial. Chiropractic is useful for the treatment of back pain. For those who do not have severe or severe back pain, pain can be relieved using the massage thing of this therapy.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy involves a variety of strategies in which people are prepared for the pain and for coping with pain.
There can be no better help than counseling or counseling for a person suffering from pain, whether it comes from the family, group, or individual counselor. Support groups can provide important support for medicine and surgery.
COX-2 inhibitors ('superexpressions') nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) work by inhibiting two enzymes, cyclooxygenase-1 and cyclooxygenase-2. Both these enzymes increase the production of hormones called prostaglandins that cause burning, fever, and pain. The newer drugs, COX-2 inhibitors, primarily inhibit cyclooxygenase-2 and are less likely to have gastrointestinal side effects that are typically produced by NSAIDs. In 1999, the Food and Drug Administration approved two COX-2 inhibitors—rofecoxib (Vioxx) and (Celebrex).
Electrical induction includes transcutaneous electrical stimulation (TENS), implanted electric nerve stimulation, and deep brain or spinal cord induction. It is a modern version of an age-old technique in which various types of stimulation are given to the nerves of the muscles, including massage and heat.
Electrical induction is not for everyone, nor is it 100% effective. Specialist equipment and personal training are used for each of the following techniques:
TENS uses small electrical pulses, which are supplied through the skin to nerve fibers that cause changes in the muscles such as membranes or contractions. This provides immediate pain relief.* Spinal cord inductions with electrodes are surgically inserted into the epidural space of the spinal cord. The patient supplies electrical pulses to the spinal cord using small boxes such as receivers and antennas attached to the skin.
Deep brain stimulation is considered the most advanced or advanced treatment that involves surgical induction of the brain, usually the thalamus. It is used only in a limited number of circumstances, including severe pain, central pain syndrome, canker sore, phantom limb pain, and other neuropathic pain.
Exercise: Since there is a known relationship between many types of chronic pain and stress, weak muscles, etc., certain exercises can prove to be very helpful, which increases the supply of oxygen to the muscles while increasing your blood flow. These include walking and swimming at a slow to moderate pace. As we know that one of the causes of pain is stress or anxiety, so sleep or rest can also prove to be helpful in relieving pain while reducing stress.
Hypnosis, which was first approved for medical use in 1958, continues to be popular—especially as an adjunct to pain medication. In general, hypnosis is used to control physical activity or response. In this case, too, it depends on the amount of pain and the individual. Hypnosis can act as a pain reliever by acting on chemicals in the nervous system, slowing it down.
Some physical therapists also sometimes use a low-power laser to relieve pain. But like other treatments, this system too is not untouched by controversies. Magnets: Magnet treatment is very old and was also used in ancient Egypt and Greek for treatment. Under this, the magnet is worn as a collar or a watch.
Although skeptics dismiss it as quackery, proponents believe that the magnet may alter cells or body chemistry, thereby relieving pain. Medicines, chemical compounds, or surgical techniques are used in nerve blocks to block the transmission of pain messages from different parts of the body to the brain. Neurotomy in surgical nerve block types; These include spinal dorsal, cranial, trigeminal rhizotomy, and sympathectomy.
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are widely prescribed and are sometimes referred to as non-narcotic or non-opiate analgesics.
They work by reducing the inflammatory response in the tissues. Many of these medicines irritate the stomach, which is why they are often taken with food. Opioids are extracted from the poppy plant and are some of the oldest drugs in the history of mankind. These include codeine and the very common narcotic morphine. Morphine can be administered in a number of ways, including for patient self-control. Opioids have intoxicating effects that include a sedative as well as a pain reliever. Some patients may become physically dependent on these. For these reasons, patients who are given opioids need to be closely monitored. In some cases, stimulation (induction) may be recommended to counteract the sedative effects. Other side effects include vomiting, constipation, nausea, etc.
I wish LG would consider updating their Codecs list or at least give us a way of installing this codecs in our TV manually. i know my TV is capable of playing a lot of stuff but i'm always stuck with "not supported" for most of the media i have.
One of the most wished stuff i'd love to see is
Added support for H.264 10bit (still very popular and used a lot)
as well as Opus codecs (its a Free codec and its getting a lot use recently especially with H.265 MKV videos)
Like i said, please add this codecs and more or at least give us a way of doing it ourselves. i know there might be legal issues and some codecs are payed, so just let us install it ourselves instead.
