Latest Firmware / WebOS for Model 55UH6090-UF

Question

Posted

Hi!

I'm trying to determine what the most current firmware (and WebOS) is for my LG Smart TV. I purchased the Model 55UH6090-UF a few years ago. However, in searching the forum, I've not been able to determine what the current firmware and WebOS version should be. When I try to update the firmware / WebOS from within the TV's settings, it comes back stating the there are no updates available.

I'm a tech (over 40 years as a PC Systems Consultant), so I always want the latest firmware / software for any of my devices. Can anyone help me determine whether I do have the latest firmware / WebOS installed? The current firmware version installed is 05.30.25. What does this mean and is it the latest available version? Also, is the version of WebOS installed determined by the firmware? I haven't been able to locate the current WebOS version on my system, but I believe it to be 2.0.

Thanks to anyone who can help...:)

Your TV has WebOS 3.0 and, according to LG, you have the latest version of the firmware. I also have an UH TV. Until mid 2017 there were several firmware updates. After that - nothing. UH models are discontinued and a believe that there will not be any more updates. I really do not need an update because everything works perfectly.

Thanks for your quick response. It's good to finally know what the "specs" of my set are. What started all of this was me trying to share my laptop screen (macbook) with the set. That's when I found out about LG SmartShare. When I tried following the procedures found on the LG site to access SmartShare via the set's menu, the icon was nowhere to be found. So, being the tech that I am, I started searching.

Thanks again for your response...
