Older tv upgrade to WebOS 2.0

Question

Posted

Hi team,

I have an older model LG TV 55UB850T-TA. From my understanding WebOS 2.0 was meant to be available on older models but mine seems to be on version 1.4.0 (software version is 05.05.75). Can i apply any other firmware versions from other TV models to get this updated?

That appears to be the last available firmware available.

Immediately following the major LG webOS firmware upgrade last week, our OLED65G2PSA is damaged. A white line appears top to bottom of screen in from the left hand side & the tv either fails to turn on, or shuts itself down shortly after. Has anyone else had this issue & if so, has any update on a solution. (I'm waiting for LG to get it sorted. Waiting ...)
